Strapped for cash? No money for makeup? Check out Essence Silky Touch Blush! For the price of a Starbucks Coffee, well, less than the price of a Starbucks Coffee you can get a nicely formulated blush!

So if you have three bucks let me introduce you to the joys of Essence Silky Touch Blush!

Essence Silky Touch Blush is available in four shade selections and comes housed in a small clear compact with 0.17 oz of blush inside. Honestly, 0.17 ounces of blush for $2.99 is a heck of a bargain so this is a nice little cheap thrill if you love beauty budget finds.

The formula is slightly powdery but has a nice soft, silky texture that applies with an even, smooth finish on my drier cheeks. It’s quite pigmented and leaves a very natural flush of color on my cheeks which builds easily for more pop. The wear is excellent as well at around seven hours before showing minor signs of fading at hour eight.

I purchased it in Autumn Peach which is a pretty orange-y peach shade that’s very flattering on my medium fair skin tone.

Essence is one of those brands you gotta love! They have basic but cute packaging, a nice variety of products to choose from, and basically anything you purchase is under five bucks! You gotta love that!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Nice. That is more peach than I expected, but I like it! At this price point, do you prefer Jordana’s blushes or Essence’s? Thanks!

You should! Their mattes are some of the best (if not the best) from the drugstore! (Much easier to work with than the Milani Rose blushes, although I love those too!)

I have both Essence & Jordana & I equally really like both. The range of colors for Essence is not quiet as large as Jordana which in my opinion would be the only downfall but ALL the colors that Essence does have are very beautiful & very very soft & pigmented. So you can’t go wrong with either.

I am a die hard fan of the Jordana blushes, but I think the longevity and overall texture of the Essence blushes is much nicer. I believe I have all of the shades at this point and they get a lot of love from me! 🙂 But then again, so do the Jordana ones. Also, look into La Femme blushes from the MakeupMania website. I built a palette of them for my makeup kit and fell in love. Inexpensive but some of the best quality on the market. Pigmentation knocks every other brand out of the water, including Nars.

Thanks to both for your reply. I don’t live near an Ulta, so buying Essence is a little difficult for me. But now that I have heard so many praises, I might just want to switch to Ulta for my next beauty order and add on this little Essence guy. Thanks again!
