Lancome Le Duo Contour & Highlighter Stick

Contouring sticks seem the latest craze! Smashbox has a new trio of contouring pencils for Spring 2015 and now Lancome Le Duo Contour & Highlighter Stick ($36) has launched. I mean, contouring should be easy when you’re doing it with only two shades and a pencil right?

So, like, clumsy folks like me can actually learn to contour right do you think?

The Lancome Le Duo Contour & Highlighter Stick is available in five shade selections and features two shades in one chubby pencil design. One side has a creamy contouring shade where as the other has an illuminating highlighter.

The lightweight powder to creme form has a silky texture that blends easily onto skin.

Chisel cheeks by apply at the top of your ear and blending underneath your cheek bones! Sculpt your nose by using the stick down the sides of your nose and define your jaw by softly blending the contouring shade on both sides of your face!

Strangely enough this new pencil looks a lot like Em’s Chiaroscuro Contour and Highlighter Stick! Considering Em is a L’Oreal brand it comes as no surprise.

You can grab the Lancome Le Duo Contour & Highlighter Stick now at nordstrom.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Definitely looks like they took the design from EM. I think this is good for travel. Speaking of clumsy, I can see myself in the morning, rushing around half-asleep, fumbling with this pencil, trying to flip it around, dropping it, shoving the cap back on and slicing the bullet off, or accidentally flipping it the wrong way and putting the contour and highlighter in the wrong places on my face! It would be a funny video

Funny how this looks exactly like em Cosmetics highlight and contour stick…

Not surprising that this looks like Em Cosmetics Chiaroscuro highlight and contour stick, since both Lancome and Em are owned by L’Oreal. I have the Em, don’t have the Lancome, but even the packaging looks identical except Em’s is white and Lancome’s is black. However, price is not identical: Lancome’s Le Duo is $12 more than Em’s.

I played with this the other day at Dillard’s — I have to admit that I am not impressed. The highlight shade went into creases and fine lines in a matter of less than 15 minutes, and the contour shade is very bizarre… an extremely cool almost gray color. For the price, it is definitely NOT worth it in my opinion! Plus, NYX has a double-ended stick for less than half the price, and you can use the $3.50 off coupon at Ulta!! =)
