Peripera Cushion Blusher

Peripera Cushion Blusher is a great pick up for those looking for a sheer pop of natural color on cheeks! This cute little blusher is easy to apply thanks to a built in sponge so you can squeeze, dab, blend, and go!

Take a look!

Peripera Cushion Blusher is available in five pastel shades and launched in Korea several months ago. I’ve actually only indulged in one shade as I don’t really love the sheerer color these provide. They kinda remind me of Etude House’s Lock ‘n Summer Cushion Blusher as they are just as sheer!

The blush comes housed in a tiny tube with an attached sponge applicator so you can squeeze the tube gently and blush with flow into the cushion. Now you can just do it onto your cheek bones, blend it out, and you’re good to go. It’s really no-nonsense packaging that’s easy to use and apply but the puff isn’t removable so over time it’ll be rather gross and not exactly hygienic with daily use and no way to wash it.

The formula is lightweight and very, very sheer. It only gives a wash of color and a majority of these shades will not working on deeper medium shades or darker. The light, creamy texture blends easily and has a dewy finish. This is a lovely texture for drier skin tones as the color is very natural and doesn’t look cakey on skin nor does it adhere to drier or flakier areas on cheeks. Since the formula never truly sets I feel like it fades away really quickly so I can get about 2 hours of wear before the blush completely fades away on my skin.

If you like light, barely there sheerer colors this might just be a great pick up for you! It’ll sure look lovely on very, very pale or fair skin! Personally between the shorter wear time, sheerer color payoff, and the unhygienic packaging this blush is a little iffy for me. I actually didn’t really like it…! More pigment, perhaps drop the sponge, and a less dewy finish and I’d be all hands on deck but the formula as is doesn’t really do it for me.

I know you prefer bolder blushes, but it looks SO pretty on you! If it lasted a little longer I would buy all of them. Two hours just isn’t long enough to justify a purchase, unfortunately!

I got the Holika Holika Cheek Tok blush that comes in the exactly same package, but it’s very pigmented!

i got the tok blush too and the shades are a lot less pastel and considerably more pigmented 🙂 totally agree!

Hey, I just ordered one of these on a whim last week! (I was ordering some stuff from an ebay seller I saw the blush and thought why not) 🙂 Hopefully it gets here soon. I’m not too worried about the sheerness as I am ghostly pale and always afraid of overdoing blush, but the short wear time is a bit of a bummer. I don’t want to carry this around in my purse for touchups.

I’m surprised to hear that the sponge on yours doesn’t come off though! The listing I bought from had pictures showing that the sponge can be pulled off from the colored base and cleaned.

I tried but wasn’t successfully removing it. Let me know if you succeed?! Curious what you think of it Jenny update me when you tried!

Sure! I’m not expecting it to arrive for another week or so (downside to ordering Korean cosmetics) but I’ll report back with my findings when it arrives.

cant wait to hear your take! 😀 and tips for removing the sponge haha!

My package was actually waiting for me when I got home today! That was a nice surprise. 😀

So I checked, and yup, I was able to remove the sponge. I grasped the sides of the sponge itself, (without touching the colored plastic base) pulled it straight up without twisting, and it popped right off. Underneath the sponge are two little plastic prongs that fit inside two corresponding slits on the top of the colored plastic base. I hope that helps!

I did a quick test and the color I ordered, 01 Pleased Pink, is even more sheer than your color! I think this is the first time in my life that I’ve ever had to heavily layer on blush before. I was able to create a quite natural and even looking flush that looks nice, but I used a lot more of the product than I was expecting to. When I ordered it I’d passed over the other colors because I was afraid that they would be too much for my fair skin, so I picked the lightest color, but I needn’t have worried.

That said, this was indoors at night, at the end of a long day, so perhaps the color will show up better in daylight tomorrow. And I do like how easy it is to apply. I could see this becoming something I can use for easy, fast low-key looks. If this one works out I might order one of the other colors some time in the future. But yeah, definitely not a blush for anyone who doesn’t have fair skin, unfortunately.

hey jenny sorry for the delayed reply! 🙂 Hmm I’ll have to try thanks for the good word! 🙂 I know! I hate some of the paler, sheerer blushes that Asian brands release! they just aren’t flattering on me and barely visible 🙁 You have to have a ghost complexion to appreciate the shade 🙁 a little more pigment and I’d be a happy girl 😀

I have this exact shade, it didn’t even show up on me so I pulled it apart 2 mix in darker pigment. It was messy, but worked. So yeah the sponge top can be pried off, idk about taking off the sponge bit alone but the sponge top that attaches to the bottle via plastic prongs definitely comes off.

I just watched a youtube video on this and I saw that the puff was removable!:o
