Why does Physicians Formula Super CC Color Correction + Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream ($12.99) have such a bloody long name? Holy cow!

Physicians Formula Super CC Color Correction + Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream is a new single shade (Light/Medium) color correcting eye cream that promises to blur wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, crow’s feet, puffiness, imperfections, crepey lids, sagging, and signs of fatigue.

Yup, another very over marketed product that excels at none of what it promises.

Why brands insist on creating “eye highlighters” with mica, shimmer, or glitter is beyond me. Anything that contains mica or shimmer that’s meant to go under your eyes is just awful for me, it’s like putting a spotlight on every single thing I hate about my under eye area.

Physicians Formula Super CC Color Correction + Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream is a soft golden yellow-y beige shade with a luminous finish. It comes housed in a squeeze tube with an attached slanted applicator that’s cool to the touch during application. The color correcting formula is meant to address ahost of problems and is created with three shades, yellow to correct blueness and warm skin, green to tone down redness, and pink to brighten and illuminate. Perhaps in other products from the Physicians Formula Super CC Color Collection these three shades work great on your face but under your eyes they seem to miss the mark.

This isn’t to say someone out there isn’t going to love it. It’s just personally I have puffy, finely lined, tired looking eyes and I depend on my concealer to conceal those issues. Unfortunately, Physicians Formula Super CC Color Correction + Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream actually accentuates those problem areas more than corrects them! Of course, this isn’t advertised as a concealer so I can’t fault it for being sheer but I also can’t speak positively of it either as I can’t say it “corrects” my dark circles or makes my eyes look better in anyway.

The formula is quite lovely. It’s creamy, slightly running, and blends very easily. My eyes are prone to dryness and I didn’t have a problem with application nor did I feel like this creased or caked into my finer lines. My main issue is the radiant finish which makes me look all discoball crazy under my eyes.

If you’re comfortable using highlighters under your eyes, Physicians Formula Super CC Color Correction + Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream might just be a great pick for you! Personally, if you have aging eyes, dark circles, finer lines, puffiness, etc…I’d avoid it, this seems to act as a spotlight and draws major attention to problems rather than deflecting away from them.
