Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette

Next up on your blush palette hit list might I suggest the Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette for Spring 2015? So far we’ve seen Lorac Lorac Unzipped Cheek Palette and now this new Smashbox Crush on Palette ($45) do I see a trend developing!?

The Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette is a Nordstrom exclusive palette that includes four blush shades, one bronzer, and one Smashbox Soft Lights Highlither.

Shades include:

  • Blush in Warm Apricot, Guava, Rosy and Rosette
  • Bronze Lights in Suntan
  • Soft Lights in Shimmer
  • Get the Looks Insert

The palette actually doubles up as a highlighting, contouring, and blush palette so you can use for an all in one solution to sculpt, contour, highlight, and add color to cheeks and face!

Nifty right?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I would LOVE to see more cheek palettes, honestly. And ones that don’t contain a brand’s best seller (I have had ENOUGH of Orgasm in EVERYTHING, Nars!), so you get to sample less prominent shades.

      I agree!
      More blush palettes please!
Though I do love my Nars Virtual Domination Palette, which they managed to use Deep Throat in rather than Orgasm. Still those two shades are quite similar. And Laguna made yet another appearance. However they don’t really have another bronzer I prefer to Laguna…
Excited to try this one as I love all the Smashbox cheek products I’ve tried.

Sigh. My brain says ‘Karen you don’t need this!’ but my heart is saying ‘you want it! get the pretty!’ lol. My poor wallet!

    Follow up review:

Just got this home and realized how much of it is repeat.

The Suntan Bronzer is in just about every Smashbox palette, it’s in my Master Class 3 palette.

Rosy Blush also in Master Class 3 and 2.

The Highlight color is Shimmer, which was in Master Class 1 and 2.

The Warm Apricot Blush was also in both Master Class 1 and 2.

The only colors I haven’t seen before are Guava and Rosette.

They are still beautiful colors, I like Guava a lot more than I ever did Warm Apricot.

Rosette just seems like another pink, so I mean, I have like 9000000 of those right.

Overall still a pretty good buy as a blush or highlighter from Smashbox is about $30 on their own.

I don’t really mind the repeating SO much anyway as the format of this palette is so nice and compact. I will probably now use the Shimmer and Warm Apricot a lot more as I didn’t tend to use them so much before.

Still I really would have appreciated if three of the colors were new and not 4 complete repeats.

Being that I already own 4/6 is a little disappointing after dropping $45.

Actually Suntan is also in MC2.

So pretty much if you own any MC palettes at all this becomes way less attractive.
