Tarte Miracles of the Amazon 6 Piece Collection debuts tomorrow as the QVC Today’s Special Value for February and includes 6 full size Tarte offerings include the new Tarte Maracuja Miracle Foundealer as well as a brand new Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay and Cheek Palette!

The set will be exclusively available on QVC.com at the sale price of $59 for one day only and will also have the option of auto delivery which will entitle you to a June and October Shipment of the same set but with new seasonal shades and products.

Let’s take a look!

Tarte Miracles of the Amazon Set

Tarte Miracles of the Amazon 6 Piece Collection includes:

  • Maracuja Miracle Foundcealer (Shade Choice: Fair, Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Tan, Deep)
  • Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette
  • Maracuja Miracle Foundcealer Brush
  • Lipsurgence Liquid Lip Shine in Exquisite
  • Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
  • Double Ended Eyeshadow Brush
  • Makeup Bag

For me the star of this set is the new Foundcealer which is a hybrid 2-in-1 Foundation Concealer formula. I’ve reviewed the product extensively and you can see my thoughts by clicking here but I’ll do a quick recap here. As I mentioned in my review these shades seem to run very light to me so you might want to go with the next shade selection when purchasing. If you’re Fair perhaps go with Light…! Just a thought as I thought the colors were very, very pale from what I’ve seen (I swatches three out of the six shades below for you).

Although promoted as a foundation slash concealer this provides sheer to almost medium coverage so don’t expect it to be super pigmented. For me the name slightly implies that it is full coverage but I find the coverage doesn’t quite meet the medium mark. Nonethe less it’s very creamy with a thicker texture that applies easily on skin and has a smooth, satin finish that doesn’t adhere to drier areas and wears for five hours. I think things can get confusing with the name and the way it’s promoted as being a concealer and a foundation all in one…! It should do a good job concealing more issues such as redness and discolorations but if you have acne or blemishes and require fuller coverage this might not build well for you.

The second star of the set is the Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette which contains one blush shade and six eyeshadows. I’ve reviewed it in detail and you can see the review by clicking here. The palette has a range of cooler and warmer shades in a range of matte and shimmer finishes. I found the colors were quite pigmented and blended easily onto lids. The blush was a little dense but that seems to be the norm blushes that appear in Tarte palettes lately however, it does blend well on cheeks with a beautiful finish! The palette has a nice versatile range of shades for creating either a day or night look with step by step instructions for “getting the look”.

To go along with your new palette and foundation you’ll get two brushes both of which have sturdy handles and soft bristles. There’s a double ended shadow brush that features an eyeshadow brush on one end and a blending one on the other as a foundation buffing brush which can buff your new Foundcealer out to an airbrushed finish.

You also get new Lipsurgence Liquid Lipshine which I’ve reviewed in detail and you can view by clicking here. I mentioned in my review that apparently the name has changed but the formula is the same as the original Lipsurgence Lipgloss Collection however, this Liquid Lipshine does have a good deal more pigmented than the gloss. But to learn more do see my review.

Finally you also get Gifted Clay Smart Mascara and a makeup bag. I actually prefer Lights, Camera, Lashes (it’s my favorite mascara) but Gifted is just as nice and has a blacker than black formula that thickens lashes and gives excellent length. For me I think Lights, Camera, Lashes curls a little better but the formulas both perform equally well. Plus Lights, Camera, Lashes appears in a lot of Tarte sets so Gifted is a nice change up. This comes in limited edition packaging to match the palette and gloss. The bag is a royal woven and gold purple and is generously sized to pack in a good deal of product. If you decide to grab the set on auto delivery you’ll get a brand new makeup bag which each set.

This is incredible value at $59 and now with the new QVC Shipping Policy it’s even better as you’ll only pay $3 for shipping on it. It’s almost like paying $10 or $11 per item and we all know a single Tarte product is not going to cost as little as that so this is truly a gift. It’s excellent if you haven’t tried the brand before but always wanted to! And for Tarte fans (or Tartelettes as Tarte fondly calls us) this is a must have offering a great selection of products at a small price.

Hmmmm… Still looks like the light medium shade is best for us. What do you think?

    • Isabella Muse

yeah kinda feel that way too Kim! I could prob do medium in the Summer (I tan easily).

  • Josie

Hi Isabella! Thanks so much for this post and your swatches! I usually wear medium in tarte foundations and find this medium a tiny bit dark on me. I’m thinking of getting the light/medium shade in my next AD shipment to mix so thanks for those swatches!! 🙂

I was wondering if you could clear up something – the lightest shade foundation is labeled as fair on this post, however it’s labeled as light on your foundcealer review post. Can you tell me which one it is? Thanks!! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure josie 🙂 hope that shade is good for ya, update me, let me know! I’m sorry completely mislabeled, just cleared that up, it is LIGHT not fair! apologies!

      • Josie

Thank you!! Starting to think the medium shade is a bit peachy and that’s why it’s coming off a little dark on me. The light-med and tan shades definitely have more yellow to them going off what they look like on the tarte videos, hmm I’ll have to wear it a little more and see of this is going to bug me or not 🙂 I’m definitely more on the yellow side- I wonder If I would get my perfect shade if I mix the tan and light-med shades? I feel like I’m always on the quest for the perfect shade match! Ack. Thanks again for your help!! <3

        • Isabella Muse

no thanks needed 🙂 I didn’t do anything at all! I hope you find a great match! I think the medium and light medium mixed would prob be my perfect shade 😀

  • Jasmine

I’m really interested in this new set. Thanks for your detail review ^.^ May I know about the medium color of the foundation? Is it a pink or yellow undertone? Coz it looks a bit pink in your pic ^.^ Again loooove all your review 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

no problem Jasmine glad you enjoyed it 🙂 the medium has more of a golden beige undertone not pink or yellow. Hope this helps. 🙂

  • Elisa

Any idea if the shadow palette will become part of the regular collection, or if Sephora will start stocking this? QVC doesn’t ship to Canada. 🙁

    • Isabella Muse

not sure elisa, I know the eyeshadow palette was available on Tarte’s website for a month or so but now it’s gone. At some point I imagine they might just release on Sephora as they did that with some other QVC releases but I can’t say for sure!

  • Renee

That pallet is just beautiful. I don’t “need” any new makeup, but that has never stopped me before. cha-ching!

  • Dee

I really don’t need anything and I just got their matte eye palette. But’s this is so tempting. I love the palette!

  • Sissi

Oh wow, this is actually a steal! Please dont show me all these beautiful products or I must get them! 😉

  • Penny

I got this kit early on the Q and was able to get EP! Love everything in it. Eventhough the Foundation is a Foundcealer, I still have to use a separate concealer to cover everything I need to, but I do need less of it. I do love the finish of the foundation though! Love Tarte! ♥

    • Isabella Muse

same here, I def can’t use this as a concealer but still a lovely formula none the less 😀

  • Liz

Thank you for swatching the foundcealer. I’m stuck between light med and medium.

I’m like an NC35 but more on the yellow side and I see that med looks a little more golden beige like you stated in one of your answers. I also see that it looks like a serum type which makes me think if I get the medium it will blend out really well and I can apply a yellowish based powder to even things out. What do you think?

I really wish they would swatch these foundations like Mally cosmetics does. I do not understand why they don’t do it on tv. It upsets me because I think they would have less returns. I bought the IT cosmetics TSV and the medium sold out so I thought ok I’ll buy the tan and it’s too dark. I mean I can wear it but I have to blend it all the way down and I look darker not that it’s bad but it’s too much work. Sorry for the rant but THANK you for swatching these. THANK YOU 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure liz. I seem to be in between as well. It’s not really a serum. It’s a cream, quite thick but not runny or thin. A yellow base could work, not really sure though haven’t tried! They should have a swatch video available on youtube, that’s what they typically do, see their youtube channel 🙂 my pleasure! I hope it helped a little bit?! good luck!

  • Vanessa

I ordered this kit this morning along with the 5- piece lipsurgence lip gloss set and the 4-piece limited edition lipsurgence lip cremes. This purchase totally broke my no makeup ban! However I am excited for the auto delivery shipments. The cosmetic bag and palettes look amazing. Thanks for another great review Muse!

  • Hanna

hey love I wanted your opinion i’m deciding between light & light medium.. which of the two has a more yellow tone to it?

  • Robyn

Thanks for the in-depth review! Would you say the blush is comparable to any of the other Tarte Amazonian clay blushes in color? I own Captivating and Achiote… just trying to see if it’s similar to one of those. Thanks!

  • sara

what is the undertone of the light foundation? it looks yellow on your skin. thanks!
