Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist

The Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette is an exclusive palette launching tomorrow with the Tarte Miracles from the Amazon Collection that will be available as a one day Today Special Value on QVC.com.

So along with this palette you’ll get five other Tarte products including their new Maracuja Miracle Foundcealer!

The nice part about the set is it’s available as an auto delivery which means you’ll get a shipment in June and another in October with new seasonal shades in this palette and the other products in the collection.

Let’s take a look!

  • Taupe for the Best (shimmering steel taupe)

Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay Palette

The palette comes housed in slim gold case with a purple mosaic design and a full size mirror located inside! This palette offers one of two looks that can go either cooler or warmer. The left side is a bit cooler featuring shades of taupe and plum where as the right side has warmer shades featuring browns and golds. It’s kinda a mismatch of shades looking at them together but used separately they offer you the option to create two different looks. The palette comes with step by step instructions for color placement and creating and evening and day look. I used the left hand side of the palette to create my look below which is kinda taupe-y plum evening look. The shadow formula was quite lovely particularly the shimmers which were velvety and easy to blend with plenty of pigment. The mattes were equally pigmented but some of the shades were a tad too dark for all over eye application in my opinion so you might wish to use them as liners or to add definition to a look!

Talented was a beautiful blush formula as well although it does fall victim to a common issue with blushes that appear in Tarte’s compacts. That being it was a bit dense…! It does apply and blend well though but it isn’t as silky as the individual blushes!

All in this is a nice selection of beautiful shades from Tarte. Keep in mind you’re not only getting the palette but a full selection of Tarte products for $59 when this goes live on QVC.com. tomorrow so it’s quite a nice deal.

Ahhh! I am so excited for this! I’ve never ordered anything from QVC, but since you posted about this set last month, it is all I can think about. I was ready to buy the set for just the gloss, mascara and foundation, but this looks gorgeous too! If you go on tarte.com, they have this pallet for sale, along with an earth tone palette, that I am guessing will be included in the next auto shipment. It looks equally as gorgeous.

    • Isabella Muse

Happy to hear it Kim! 😀 I actually just posted about the next shipments too not sure if they are one in the same, haven’t checked tarte’s site yet! but there are up with pics if you’re interested, front page!

Is there anything specific I should know about purchasing off of QVC? I have never done it before. Any insider tips? This looks too beautiful to pass up….

  • sara

I really like this set! Haven’t been much of a Tarte fan, but this is a homerun for me.. Peeked at the upcoming sets and they look equally as beautiful! Can’t wait for the next! Thanks!

  • Christina

Very pretty! I think I like the mosaic design more than anything because I love all things purple. The eyeshadow shades seem darker and a little bolder than what Tarte normally puts out.

I probably won’t indulge, though, because I have similar shades and Tarte’s shadows always look dull on my lids. I really just want the case.

On another note, have you ever noticed that the blushes that are included in the palettes don’t have the same ingredient list as their regular blushes. Perhaps not all the palettes are like this, but the ones I did buy have a different formula. That could account for the difference in texture.

    • Isabella Muse

I actually didn’t notice this Christina but it doesn’t surprise me!

  • Christina

Okay, Muse, I have a question. What does the top of the palette feel like? Is it bumpy like mosaic tiles? Is it smooth? Is it just a picture? LOL!

  • Vanessa

Hi Muse! Thank you for another great review! I am excited to order this. I have not pre-ordered it yet because I am waiting to see if Ebates will do Double Cash back tomorrow on QVC LoL! The palette looks amazing thanks to you. Also, I just have a hard time deciding which foundcealer shade to order, either tan or deep. I am a tan in most foundation’s. I am a Warm Tan in BareMinerals Original Foundation. And a 5N1 Rich Ginger in Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Any suggestions would be helpful!

And by the way, I have tried the Wet n’ Wild Coverall Primer that came in a kit with the new correcting palette. And it is pretty awesome. It goes in smoothly and brightens my face! A cheap thrill!

  • Lou

Loving the blush color on your cheeks! I don’t own any tarte blushes so I’m tempted

    • Isabella Muse

thanks Lou! 🙂 this is a good one to grab one PLUS six shadows 😀

  • Angel

Lovely swatches Muse! But is it wrong that I want the palette more for the mosaic packaging LOL! Such a pretty cover. I’m really trying to resist this TSV but you’re making it more difficult 😉 I just don’t need another eyeshadow palette. I have soooooo many, like the rest of us I’m sure.

Sometimes I sit and wonder how many lifetimes it would take for me to go through all my eyeshadow and lipsticks. Like, if I wore a different color every day, would it take 50, 75, 100 years!?!? We can take this shit with us when we croak, right?

    • Isabella Muse

thanks chica 🙂 haha I know the packaging is too cute! oh god don’t think about it, it’ll drive you crazy LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • barbara

I really want this set, but I have so many of the tarte palettes that I cannot imagine these colors being anything different than what I already have from them. What do you think Muse?? Is there anything special about these shadows and blush that make it different than their other sets?
    Thanks..
The mosaic case is beautiful though. 🙂

  • Ashley

How do the shades in this palette compare to those in the Rainforest After Dark palette?

  • Chandabee

Hi just wondering how the matte shades compare to the tartelette palette is there enough difference to justify a purchase let nd know thanks x
