Benefit The Porefessional License To Blot

Benefit The Porefessional License To Blot ($20) arrives just in time Spring (and Summer) when oily, shiny skin is likely to rear its ugly head. As a fan of Benefit the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine I was happy to see Benefit extending the line to include something new and exciting to battle shine.

Let’s take a look at License to Blot and see what the good word is.

We have a cream version and a loose powder so the next logical step would be a stick version of Benefit’s popular Porefessional Primer! Benefit The Porefessional License To Blot is an instant oil blotting stick that contains tiny blotting spheres that mattify shine for up to six hours after application.

The specifically triangle tip targets the shinier areas on your face like your forehead, nose, and chin.

The swivel up design makes it easy to blot on the go. Smooth the tip all over your face to minimize the appearance of pores and oily spots!

What do you think?

Easy way to blot away shine?

Benefit The Porefessional License To Blot for Spring 2015 is available now at Sephora.com and benefitcosmetics.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I’m confused by this like how long does it last? do you keep twisting it up like a lip balm? Or do you just rub this triangle all over your face over and over? I’m definitely intrigued maybe it will make more sense if I see it in person.

it’s a twist up design that has 0.15 oz in size. You rub it on your face, so it’ll melt down with use just like a lip balm. I can’t estimate how long it’ll last, I guess it depends how many times you use and also the texture and how melty it is, or how dense, etc. I haven’t personally tried it yet so not sure how long it’ll last.

Hey Muse! Maybe you don’t know the answer to this, but how is this different from Benefit’s Dr Feelgood balm? Are they just rebranding that formula into the POREfessional line? I mean, don’t get me wrong- I’m going to buy this product because it’s more compact than the Dr Feelgood (with it’s sponge that gets dirty and all that), but I’m just curious.

it’s hard to say Katie, it just launched and I haven’t purchased it yet so I can’t really compare it to Dr Feelgood. If and when I do get it I’ll be sure to review and mention if there’s anything different or similar to it in comparison to Dr Feel Good.

The problem with this product is that it removes the shine from an oily face…but NOT the oil! This would be a great product for someone who only gets a little oily throughout the day, but not someone who is completely oily such as myself! 🙁 I put touched up my face with this after 5 hours of working and it removed the shine, my skin seemed somewhat dewy and it looked good. But then I felt my face…it doesn’t feel oily, but it feels moist. Which I don’t like.
