It Cosmetics Illumination CC Cream

It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination is a new illuminating, lit from within glow finish version of It Cosmetics very popular CC Cream that will be launching March 27th on QVC in the CC+ Your Way to Radiant Skin Set.

If you recall It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination launched in 2013 so It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination joins the family with this new finish of CC Cream.

I happen to have a fuller face and applying illuminating anything on it feels like I’m putting a spotlight on the roundness of my face. I also feel like glow-y finishes tend to make me look oily even though I’m far from it. So I am kinda wary of anything that promises an “illuminating” finish!

It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination4

As of now It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination will be launched within the CC+ Your Way To Radiant Skin so you can’t get this as an individual purchase just yet but should be able to shortly. It comes in a 1.08 tube with a pump just like the original.

A quick glance at the ingredients reveals the formula as being identical to the original It Cosmetics CC Cream with a few additions and absolutely no mica that I see but I’m working on very little sleep here so maybe I missed it. People always tell me how much they love Celebration Foundation Illumination and how it gives them such a pretty glow but personally I thought the formula didn’t really have an illuminating factor at all and I do feel slightly the same about It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination. I’m not seeing the glow-y factor here nor am I seeing an illuminating finish.

On the upside, the formula is the same one you know and likely love!

This is a full coverage color correcting CC Cream that contains an anti-aging serum and a broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 50+. It’s super pigmented and has the ability to conceal many skin issues such as redness, acne scaring, blemishes, dark spots, etc while creating a perfect, flawless canvas for makeup.

The texture runs rich and creamy! I sometimes have a little issue with the original formula dragging a tiny bit during application but this feels a touch more hydrating to me and it applies and blends out quite easily. This formula is quite emollient and does have a dewy finish at first but sets to a smooth, softer satin within a few minutes of application. It doesn’t stick to my drier areas and always looks smooth and flawless.

Mainly the It Cosmetics formula is so great because it really visibly brightens skin. I also love how easy it is to customize the coverage using some of their great brushes as you can buff it sheer or apply it heavier for more coverage yet never have it look anything but natural on skin! It also provides incredible wear without oxidizing for several hours of excellent wear. I did notice, for sensitive users, that the normal strong citrus-y fragrance is a little tamer in this formulation but still there none the less.

Overall, if you loved the original formula I have to say there is very, very little different about the Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical CC Cream Illumination formula. I’m just not really noticing a glow or an illumination here! None the less it still applies well, creates a flawless finish, and wears beautifully for several long hours. But…the lack of an illuminating finish might just disappoint. But do take my review with a grain of salt because I happened to not really experience much of a glow from Celebration Illumination either where as many people felt it gave skin a very lovely glow-y look!

Oh bummer I was hoping this would be a great new product!!! I think I will still get it because I do really like the cc cream. Any release on the item # early?? Their last tsv was on tight lock down also. Normally you can find the item # to order early. Thanks for all your reviews on everything 🙂

  • Marne

Do you have an item number for this set? It looks beautiful! I havent tried the original CC cream but this looks like its right up my alley! Thanks for the swatches and review!

    • Isabella Muse

i do not as of yet sadly marne but hoe to soon! my pleasure!

  • christin

What shade is your swatch? I find It Cosmetics to run on the dark side because I swatches some of their stuff at Ulta and thought “light” was really dark. Fair looks like a better match.

  • Alex

I have been wanting to try the regular cc cream for a while and I do have drier skin and like a nice natural finish, do you think this is worth the money and just as good as the other one. Do you think the set is a good value, whatever the price? Do you think the cc illumination is a good but with the set? Hope that makes sense, love your blog!! I read it everyday!

    • Isabella Muse

hey alex! they are pretty much almost identical formulas imho! 🙂 I don’t know the price yet but I imagine it’ll be a GREAT deal 🙂 Hope this helps!? and thanks for reading so often I appreciate it 🙂

  • Rachel

I use the regular CC cream, and on days I want a more glowy/radiant finish, I mix it with MAC strobe cream. Works very well. I also do that on days I want to sheer out the coverage. Unless there is a price point difference I really doubt I’d switch.

  • Kimberly

I LOVE IT CC Cream and used it every day as my foundation. I haven’t found ANY foundation (cheap or expensive) that works as well for me. I will be buying the TSV just because I love her products.

  • zVintageFashionizta

Isabella, I am trying to figure out what color I should order, could you assist me by letting me know what color you wear in this product and for reference what color do you wear in MAC Foundation?

  • Katherine T.

I have the original IT CC cream and love it!! It was a super-sized tube that came in a QVC set, and it’s so pigmented, it’s going to take forever to finish, and it has SPF 50. If I want some more illumination, I just mix it with a liquid highlighter (Becca, MAC Strobe Cream).

Auto delivery is A269763 and one time is A262750. But the special pricing only works through an emailed link. If you type the item numbers, it will come as $72.50. They used to have different item numbers for pre-orders, but now they are the same so maybe they don’t sell out before time. There also have a new CC creme blush with blush deal, and the newest “spooned concealer with a brush deal both for $29.12.

      • zVintageFashionizta

Those sound interesting, do you have item numbers for those?

        • Daliris

          zVintageFashionizta,

–CC Creme Blush with Angled Radiance Brush Auto-Delivery is A268945, and A259331 for one time ($29.12)

–CC Eye Physical SPF 50 Concealer with Auto-Delivery A269937 and A257360 one time ($29.12)

  • Holly

It will be 59.95 with two easy pays for anyone wondering on the price

  • Nicole

Hi. Do you think this one may work a little better for dry skin? I do feel the regular gets a bit tight feeling on my dry skin. I got it in a package deal on QVC so i have been holding on to it. Hoping it will work in the summer, even if just for the SPF factor. Thanks for the review and heads up on this deal!

    • Isabella Muse

i have a problem with it dragging a little on my dry skin. This feels a LITTLE touch more emollient than the original Nicole. But I will say it does have almost an identical ingredients so you may or may not experience the tightness Nicole! My pleasure dear!

      • Nicole

Thanks..hmm..hard choice. i am needing a darker shade. But, i really wasn’t planning on the face disc and stuff. It’s nice. i’ll have to think about it..watch it be gone, lol!

        • Nicole

Well,I just bought it. I haven’t been using my regular Cc cream because the medium is too light and it is a little drying for me(as I mentioned). So, I ordered the set in Tan so I can mix it in and hopefully it will help with the dryness. I liked the brushes and the other stuff looked nice for rushed mornings. Plus, QVC has a good return policy. So,just ignore my comment above, lol!

  • Josie

I’m still on the fence with this TSV. Not sure if I need the face disc… Isabella, can you compare the medium shade in this new formula to the medium in the original cc formula? Are the shades identical or does the illumination shade run a little lighter? Thanks!

    • michelle

I would LOVE to know the same info–that would help me out a ton! I have a sample of the original in medium and feel like it is a tiny bit dark for me but the only swatch of the “light” I have seen scares me as it seems more yellow in undertone than the medium and I already ordered light. Hoping I made the right decision and wondering if I shouldn’t change it :/

        • Nicole

Pam, idk if this may help or not. But, I have pretty true medium skin. Anyway, I first got medium and it was almost orange, but too light. I called It cosmetics. They suggested mixing “fair” because it has pink undertones. I didn’t get that because that would of just made it way to light for me. I wound up making myself actually go to Ulta. they were kind enough to give me samples. The color range is way too small. That is probably the biggest fault in this product IMO. I have to mix medium and Tan. To go cool, if you are light skin or med skin..probably mix fair with light or med. Fair does have a lot of pink undertones. However, if you are going to use it sheer, you could probably get away with one. If not, mixing it probably your best option. I always have to mix. Unfortunately,it’s stupid expensive. On Ulta.com , they did have for $15 travel sizes of light and medium in the regular cc I think..that may help if you are mixing. A little goes a long way with this. But, that is the regular. I am sure the illuminating will be in stores and in single tubes soon.:)

  • Natalie

Does the former CC cream have SPF 50? I would like this without having to buy the whole kit.

  • Stephanie

I just received my TSV today and am so disappointed! The CC cream looks like it has glitter in it! Debating on keeping this because the face disk and brushes are awesome! I wish this had come in the regular formula!

    • Alex

Same!!! Have you tried the regular formula? I’m sending the kit back, the face disk wasnt my favorite, I think I’m going to spend the money on the regular cc cream or something else. I was very dossapointed

  • Katie

It absolutely has glitter. I was so disappointed in this set. The best thing about it for me was the brushes.

  • zVintageFashionizta

I wore the CC cream for the first time yesterday and I do not like it, it definitely does have Micro shimmer (good for a night out but not for everyday use) but I will not be returning this set because I don’t like that one product because everything else is great.

  • Nicole

I don’t like the new version of the CC cream either. It does have shimmery something stuff going on in there. Worn very sheer, it’s not too badly noticeable. But, it looks like nothing is on your skin but some fairy dust. 🙂 I wish she would have made it truly just more moisturizing and maybe used a holographic(not sure if that is the right word to use) type of additive . It seems like they just added glitter to the original IMO. I love the larger brush. I do have the “ball wand” brush which has been phased out it seems. This brush is pretty similar except the handle is longer. I’m wondering if anyone else sees that similarity? I have my set boxed up. The disc is nice. Not something I would reach for at a special occasion. It’s more of a nice thing to have. I have passed it by in store several times thinking it was way overpriced for the quality. The shadows, I don’t need. again, great for convenience. Shadow brush, the same. I’m probably going to send it back too.I’m pretty bummed about it too.
