Jill Stuart Everlasting Silk Powder Foundation for Spring 2015
Jill Stuart Everlasting Silk Powder Foundation had a release early this week in Japan much to the excitement of packaging h0rs far and wide. If you’re familiar with the original Powder Foundation Compact X (which I can’t live without) you’ll likely be impressed with newer style packaging that Jill Stuart is embracing for the formula.
The brand has embraced round compacts for their powders for a while now so Everlasting Silk Powder Foundation takes a new and possibly exciting route as it comes in a new clutch style compact with a small chain giving it the appearance of a vintage purse.
Yeah, I know, if you’re anything like me you might be thinking, “Well, I don’t think I’m going to be carrying and swinging around my foundation palette anytime soon on an evening out!” But hey, stranger $h1t has happened in my makeup life so why not?
Jill Stuart Everlasting Silk Powder Foundation is available in five shade selections with a price of 3500 yen for the actual powder and 1500 for the case.
They market this as a way to capture the flawless beauty of an actress. A pressed powder that provides a smooth layer of powder to cover pores and imperfections while being long wearing enough to get you through a “sweaty action scene” or a rainy day.
In my experience, Jill Stuart’s powders are a traditional Asian formula that’s soft with slight creaminess and a powdery texture that blends well and mattifies. The pigmentation varies for me from powder to powder but it is safe to say you’ll like be able to get sheerer to almost medium coverage with Everlasting Silk.
Above is the older compact which is the one I currently I own. I actually like the packaging a lot more than the current revamp!
I’m debating on trying it because I’m happy with Powder Foundation X plus I have drier skin and don’t even use powder all that often.
But fans of the brand will likely adore it I’m sure.
You’ll be able to purchase Jill Stuart Everlasting Silk Powder Foundation from gooddealer.com (they ship worldwide via airmail from Hong Kong).
