MAC Cinderella Little Black Bow Fluidline Review & Swatches

MAC x Cinderella Little Black Bow Fluidline

MAC Little Black Bow Fluidline ($17.50) is one of two MAC Fluidline Eyeliners that launched with the MAC Cinderella Collection that was inspired by the upcoming Disney Cinderella live action movie.

It’s actually a repromoted shade so you might already own it! So go shopping in your own stash prior to indulging! Of course, if it’s the limited edition packaging you’re after it might not matter you already own it.

MAC Little Black Bow Fluidline

MAC Little Black Bow Fluidline comes housed in a 0.1 oz glass jar with a light blue top that matches Cinderella’s dress. Aside from the top and the special printing that says “Disney Cinderella” on the jar in gold there isn’t a ton of fanfare here. A lot of you have expressed disappointment with the packaging. Personally, I thought it was simple, understated, and to the point. I didn’t expect a carton mock up of Cinderella as this collection is celebrating the live action film and not the classic Disney cartoon so I was ok with the packaging. Another side of my makeup loving self does wish they’d create something truly vanity worthy and perhaps charge a little more for it. Shimmery compacts, diamonds, etc…wouldn’t go amiss here and heck, I wouldn’t mind an extra charge for it.

MAC Little Black Bow Fluidline is a gorgeous shade but the formula is a bit hit or miss for me. This is a light shade of taupe gray with silver shimmer. It’s a very pretty shade that applies easily without tugging and has a nice subtle sparkle in a certain light. For me, the texture is creamy and beautiful but it does require layering. I find I have to go over the same line several times because the creamy texture tends to smear a bit as you apply. I wish it was a little more dense and drier as the slicker texture has a knack for applying messy in my experience. Once it sets it does wear long and strong on my drier eyes without smearing, smudging, or migrating. It’s just during the application that I have a few hiccups.

I must admit I’ve been tempted to use it as a lid color since the shade is such a pretty gray! I haven’t as of yet but I’ll let you know if I do and how it works!

Unfortunately, I’ve been busy and I’m a little late with my review on the MAC Cinderella Little Black Bow Fluidline so much of the collection has sold out online. If you interested in the shade you might want to call around to a variety of locations (even out of state ones as you may get someone who can ship) and counters to see who has it in stock!

I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle, especially if you already own shade, but if you feel you simply can’t live without it I’d suggest calling around as you might get lucky.

Did you haul any of the MAC Cinderella Collection?

Which pieces?

Did Little Black Bow make it onto your wish list?

You are actually right on time- the Cinderella collection will arrive at real life MAC counters March 5 🙂 For me, all they would’ve needed to do to was print a few crystal slippers here and there, such as on the cover of the palettes, edges framed by a pretty filigree circlet, a sprinkling of the slippers’ golden butterflies, etc. I mean, the opalescent blue is gorgeous and I’m definitely going to go check it all out, but it would have been so easy to add so many more pretty details to make the collection truly fabulous.

I just ordered viva glam Miley but skipped the Cinderella stuff. Good thing I didn’t read your blog until after the “spur of the moment” hit. I may have ended up with a palette I don’t need.LOL I’m so proud I only ordered the lippie. I’m having a s*cky day.
