About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I really want to try some Korean products, wish Etude will open up a store in USA or sell at Sephora, so I can test and return products. Right now, I can only go thru their website, and they will only allow returns due to defects or wrong order

Usually roadshops (Etude, TonyMoly, etc.) in Korea don’t offer returns, even in-store- “returns” are a luxury that only high-end brands offer because it’s just not profitable. But on the bright side, they’re not expensive so as long as you do your research it’s not terrible.
Tbh it bothers me that people are too cheap to buy anything without the guarantee of a return, because these kind of priveleges also enable those with buyer’s regret to take advantage of it. If you don’t like it at all, exchange products with a friend so you can both try new things. Geez.

I recently got some Kate and Visee stuff while on a trip to Japan, and hadalabo also! Totally worth it, the shading powder and eyeshadow (visee – the shadows are the new nude 5 color ones, forget the name off the top of my head) and it’s so flipping buttery and pigmented! Who knew Japan was making pigmented eyeshadow at the drugstore level?! Not me.
The hadalabo is surprisingly great. I went back to get the whole line after picking up the lotion because it felt SO nice and moisturizing. So fantastic.
And Kate’s eyeliners always win. I only wish I’d had more money to spend.

haha yeah the drugstore quality of makeup in Japan is WAY better than anything I’ve experienced in the US 😀 Hadalabo is totally amazing! It’s now available at ulta and drugstore.com 🙂

That primer is calling my name! I was just wrinkling my nose at my bumpy, pore-y face earlier today. Those lip stains look super rad too. Looks like I’m making another order happen!

Those lip stains from Peripera look really cool! Directly going to my insanely long wishlist XD
I have recently started using the IOPE Air Cushion XP in N21 and I love it. It’s such a nice product!

I think those chubby jelly lip mask stains are pretty cool. Of course I never buy anything that cannot be returned.

I had ordered from Gmarket a cream called Guerrison 9 Complex Cream. Its supposedly made with horse oil and got famous after a former Miss Korea introduced it on the beauty show she was hosting. Have you tried it yet?

  • Nat

The lip jelly sounds really interesting, I’d love to give it a go!

Korea have all the best beauty products. 🙁

  • Charlotte

I’m loving products by Innisfree, Elizavecca, Benton and Yadah at the moment! I reviewed a similar lip product by Skin Factory called a Lip Tattoo – they are really good fun but a bit time consuming waiting for them to dry before peeling :)x
