Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick Review & Swatches
Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick ($25) is new, limited edition highlighter that launched with the Sephora + Pantone Spring 2015 Collection. I actually hauled this when it originally launched but it arrived broken, I returned it, but was unable to get another one because it sold out! When I originally posted about the the Pantone Color of the Year for 2015 there was a lot of dislike expressed for the shade so it surprised me that this year’s Sephora + Pantone Makeup Collection sold in such record time!
Sephora has teamed up with Pantone since 2013 and it all that time I can’t say any of the collection sold as quickly as the Marsala one did.
Anyway, needless to say I was on the hunt for the Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick to add my collection and find it recently in store (actually I find a few so maybe Sephora is restocking finally?!).
Let’s take a look!
The Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick comes housed in a chunky rose gold swivel up stick that houses 0.63 oz of product. I said it in a few of my past reviews but I really like this packaging. Even the outer packaging and box is cool! The stick comes in a ombre box with a clear window that gives the illusion of the stick being suspended in mid air. It’s a really nice presentation.
Although I imagine Sephora envisioned the Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick as more of a highlighter I’ve been using it as a blush. Sephora calls it a hint of Marsala for cheeks but for me it’s more of a coppery shimmery red and not so much the wine color that is marsala. If you can get past the fact there isn’t anything wine or berry about the color you’ll likely love this color!
The product applies sheer but it’s actually really easy to build on. It felt a little gritty when I applied it but maybe I was imagining things. None the less it applied easily enough, blended out smoothly, and left behind a rather cool luminosity with a hint of a coppery flush. It actually seems to set to a sort of satin and wears quite strongly for around five hours on my drier skin. I like but tend to avoid blush sticks or cream blushes because they wear a shorter time on me but this wore quite well for me! Granted it wasn’t all day wear but it was decent wear.

As far as cooling I didn’t really experience it myself but I read a few reviews that mentioned the stick feeling very refreshing when applied!
All in all the Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick is the perfect way to get a hint of a sunny glow on cheeks. Come Summer this is going to look fabulous paired up with your favorite bronzer!
I suspect we haven’t seen the last of these sticks as I imagine the Sephora + Pantone Universe Summer 2015 Collection will include something similar to this!
It’s not available online but the Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala Cooling Multi-Stick seems obtainable as I was lucky enough to find it! Perhaps call around to your local stores or even out of state (they might consider shipping from another locations) if you really want it!
Keep your eyes peeled on Sephora.com for more marsala goodness come Summer.
