Soho London Disney Aurora Fairy Makeup Sponges

The Soho London Disney Aurora Fairy Makeup Sponges ($12.99) are a trio of face sponges inspired by Sleeping Beauty. Actually this set is one of several new makeup tool accessories set that Soho collaborated with Disney on that apparently will be permanently available at Walgreens!

Although I’ve been recommending many of the sets for younger girls and recommended tucking them into Easter baskets I must admit that the Soho London Disney Aurora Fairy Makeup Sponges is a nice budget pick up for those who like Beauty Blender style sponges.

Take a look!

Soho London Disney Aurora Fairy Makeup Sponges comes housed in a cutesy box featuring a silhouette of Aurora. Honestly, aside from the outer packaging there isn’t anything else Sleeping Beauty related to speak of here. But none the less it’s still quite a cute box and should be really appealing to Disney fan girls and guys.

The box holds three makeup sponges in three sizes which round out at around $4.30 each. I thought some of the Soho Disney sets a little expensive but this set isn’t too badly priced as the quality of the sponges is excellent and really, they are on par with the much more expensive Beauty Blender Sponge which will set you back $16 to $20 and upwards.

Each sponge is available in a different shade and can be used for different parts of your face. There’s an egg shaped sponge which is excellent for all over face application, an oval shape that’s great for contouring work, and a pointy opinion dome which is good for under eye concealer jobs. The sponges can be used wet or dry with either powder or liquid media. The sponges are dense yet have plenty of give to blend makeup with ease. They are quite high quality sponges and have the look and feel of the Beauty Blender Sponge!

It seems more and more sponges like this are popping up in drugstores. It’s a nice change up from dishing out near $20 for more expensive sponges of the same kind at higher end stores like Sephora. This set gets you three in a variety of sizes that can be used for a variety of makeup application!

Do like!

The Soho London Disney Aurora Fairy Makeup Sponges is available now exclusively at Walgreens and Walgreens.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This is fantastic news! I’ve always shelled out the $20/each for the Beauty Blender brand because I haven’t found a knockoff with the same awesome texture and application results. Hurrah!

Also, I feel like the squiggly pink pointy dome one should have been blue for Merriweather–she’s totally shaped like that when she sits down all grumpy in her pointy fairy hat. 🙂 (I may have watched Sleeping Beauty too much when I was five.)

same here! These are excellent. Very dense sponges, good stuff 😀 LOL! cute! that’s a great way of looking at it!

So very much agree with you. I love my Beauty Blender, but if I can get something that works as well for less I’m doing it!

I have never found a cheaper version of the BB that works the same way. THe other sponges may have the shape but most of them do not get bigger and softer when wet.
If these really do the trick that’s a great price.

“They are quite high quality sponges and have the look and feel of the Beauty Blender Sponge!” No. Anyone who has used the beauty blender will realize these are nothing like it. They make look like the BB but they are hard and barely spongey. I bought these based on your review and they were a waste, I could have got them from amazon for a dollar each.
