Tarte Skintuitive Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush

We have the Lipsurgence, we have the cheek stain, heck we even have a gloss but now the Tarte Skintuitive is available in a Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush formula too now!

Tarte Skintuitive Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush gets a Summer 2015 launch and joins the permanent collection of powder blushes with a new “color adapting” technology to give your cheeks the perfect flush of color.

Tarte Skintuitive Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush is inspired by Tarte’s Skintuituve Collection which has kinda become a brand all itself with a line of different products which react to your skin’s body chemistry to change to a perfect shade of pink.

We all know how I feel about color adapting makeup right?

None the less, Tarte Skintuitive has always been a fairly nice shade of pink on me and I’m actually quite happy it’s now available in the Amazonian Blush range as I prefer powder blush!

You can catch now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m really looking forward to trying this! Love their blushes. And that you’re the first to break the news to me!

On another note, need your detective skills Muse. What do you know about Benefit being cruelty free?? their site states that they are, but there are a ton of conflicting reports on the internet. I just read that Avon, Estee Lauder and Mary Kay are going back to animal testing some of their products (and thus the large line of brands under the Estee Lauder umbrella, which SUCKS!). Please help, I can’t bare to breakup with Benefit too!

    • Isabella Muse

oh honey Benefit hasn’t been cruelty free since about two years now 🙁 I’m sorry! They have an exception on animal testing which states on their site that they do not test on animals except when required by law. So it is iffy 🙁 Who knows which products are and which products aren’t!? Also Peta does not recognize them as being CF! I’m sorry Janessa!

      • amy

That *typically* means a brand doesn’t test on animals for their own purposes, but in order to sell in specific markets, ie China. However, the brand still doesn’t test themselves, but provides products to be tested by a given lab. If it were up to the brand, they wouldn’t test/be tested, but as a matter of distribution, it is required. Instead of boycotting the brands, we should be petitioning those who require the testing, or boycotting travel to those places.

estee lauder isn’t just going back to animal testing..from what i’ve read they always have :[ benefit does too, unfortunately. sephora/ulta brands to trust–tarte, too faced, urban decay, kat von d, becca, josie maran, mally, it, hourglass…i have gone 100% cruelty free. i can’t handle knowing my makeup has hurt little babies :[

      • Janessa

That’s how I understand it as well. I believe Lorac is also cruelty free. So is Colour Pop. Definitely worth checking out the brand if you haven’t yet.

And very well said and completely agree Amy 🙂

  • Janessa

Booo! Yeah that’s all the same info I’ve found as well! Super bummer!!! Thank you for helping 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

no problem. I’d like to say, call the company and ask which products are and aren’t tested on animals but you know how that goes. They’ll likely tell you everything is cruelty free when in fact it isn’t because the people that answer the phones are sometimes a bit clueless 🙁

  • Amara

Tell me why I was looking for a blush in the shade skintuitive when it’s actually called Energy lol. A case of the Mondays on Tuesday apparently. But why oh why did they have to raise the price by $2. It was already my splurge but I know I won’t be able to help myself lol. Thanks for the info Muse!

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure, yeah sorry, they have two names for it which always puzzles me 😀

  • diane

this sounds so cool. I love the lipsurgence so on the wishlist this goes. I’d love to them see do color adapting foundation- that would be impressive. I tried the Josie Maran one, the color morphing is amazing but coverage is too sheer and dewy for me.

  • crystalina

Muse, how was the cheek stain? It’s been pn my list of maybes for awhile, and Sephora even has the teeny one for like 12$,but I want to hear it from you.
I’ve heard mixed reviews on it.I’m pretty pale, and some say it can look a little clownish on pale chickies…Please get back to me.I’m fairly new to cream blush,or cheek stains,so I’m very hesitant without a direct “it’s good” or “it’s pretty” or even “it sucks” lol…
Your blog is the best,btw.. 😊

    • Isabella Muse

I kinda have a love/hate relationship with Tarte’s cheek sticks Crystalina because they don’t wear long on me and they are tacky/dewy throughout the wear. The actually color is pretty but it is one of those bubblegum pink doll-like colors so if that isn’t something you like you might want to avoid it 🙂 Hope this helps!? aw thank you!

  • crystalina

Thank you,Miss Muse! I don’t think I’ll be purchasing,I’ve heard that it is very “bubblegum pink” by too many people.I’m pretty pale,as you know,so no.Honestly,my go-to blush for like 2 years has been Physicians Formula Happy Booster (Glow and Mood Boosting Blush) in Pink. It’s a drugstore blush, and is only about 10$,but it really does the trick for me-it’s glowy and not too bright, good in Winter and Summer…have you tried it?
You should look into it,I’m telling you,it’s a gem. But,because we’re girls and get bored,or curious,we always want to experiment with our makeup/hair/etc…lol,right? I’m thinking of ordering Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush, but in which shade?Any recommendations?I definitely trust your opinion-sorry to keep asking you questions, but you are definitely my favorite beauty blogger and I trust your (expert, lol) opinion.
    Thanks,Muse! You’re awesome.Your advice is SO appreciated,too.xx

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure! glad I kinda helped! I have indeed tried it 🙂 They actually have some new ones, Argan Blushes that are very pretty! I actually only like one shade of the Perfect Flush blush and that’s the berry one as the others are too sheer for me, if you look back in my archives you’ll find reviews and swatches of all the shades! The berry one is lovely but it is a reddish blush so needs to be used with a lighter hand 🙂 Aw thank YOU very very very much I am so very flattered to hear that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joan

Jumped on this one. Ordered from Sephora this morning. I really DID NOT need ANOTHER blush, but had to get this. Love Tarte. Just bought some of the new shades in the Clinique Cheek Pop blush. I think I should open my own store. LOL

  • Amber

I’m pretty bummed. I went to buy this the other day, I swear it was on tarte and now it’s gone. I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled for it though. I want it to match the lip tint I just got. 🙂

  • Amber

I thought I responded to this. I went to purchase it from tarte.com the other day, I swear it was on there and now it’s not. It didn’t sell out did it. I wanted to purchase it, a-because I love the 12 hour blushes and b-to match the tarte energy liptint that I bought. Is it coming back?

  • Amber

Unfortunately, I’m not a rouge vib. I think I just missed it last year. I’m trying to make myself cut back on beauty purchases. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be lol!
