Illamasqua Gel Sculpt & Gel Color Review & Swatches

Illamasqua Gel Sculpt & Gel

Illamasqua Gel Sculpt & Gel Color ($37) are a new solid, translucent blush stick with a light, cooling formula that creates the illusion of perfect sculpted cheeks with a gentle flush of color.

I love the idea behind Gel Sculpt & Gel Color Sticks! It’s like contouring for klutzy people like 101. The idea is that the color visually sculpts cheeks so they look lifted and more defined. No tricky powders, no special contouring brushes, just a chubby blush stick and a little blending and apparently I’ll have a more lifted cheek look!

Nifty yes?

I tried Illamasqua Gel Sculpt & Gel Color out in Charm which is a bright orange-y apricot! It’s kinda my ideal shade of color for Summer. It’s natural, pretty, and seamless on my skin so yeah, the formula kinda gives me that blushing from within look and not that “I’m wearing blush” one!

I typically dislike cream blushes because they tend to fade very, very quickly but this gel stick actually wears like a champ! I can get a solid eight hours of color without a hiccup! It doesn’t fade and remains perfectly flawless through the wear. Apparently the formula is water resistant as well but I haven’t tested that fact.

The translucent blush has a gel formula that applies with a light, slick texture and blends out to a picture perfect finish. It’s a very flawless, seamless color product so you can’t really tell you’re wearing makeup! It just looks very natural. It also has this fun cool feel as you apply it so it feels refreshing on cheeks! Perfect Summer treat for cheeks!

For a contoured look, feel for your cheekbone and simply press and blend color under it for a more chiseled finish! Honestly, I had a little bit of a learning curve doing this as my face is pretty full so I’m still practicing the technique.

None the less Illamasqua Gel Sculpt & Gel Color is a perfect flush of color for those who enjoy cream or in this case long wearing gel blushes!

agree, it’s really pretty on you!

I’ve never heard of this brand before. Blush scares me, but it’s nice to know this creamy bases blush is easy to apply and long lasting.
