Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey City Blossom3

The limited edition Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey City Blossom Perfume ($76) arrives just in time for warm weather (and Mother’s Day) with a bouquet of fresh Spring notes that gives off a lightweight, flirty little scent.

Let’s take a look!

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey City Blossom

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey City Blossom was inspired by flowers blossoming in the city! A contrast to be sure!

This comes housed in Issey Miyake’s traditional flanker bottle that resembles the the tip of a pyramid. It has a Spring fill thanks to the silver and pink coloring of the glass and the cute little confetti accents. The bottle was designed by street artist Mademoiselle Maurice.

L’Eau d’Issey City Blossom fresh floral fragrance with woodsy notes that emerge as it sets. The fragrance starts out life with a burst of fresh, crisp lemon and sparkling pink pepper. The floral heart has notes of magnolia and a dominate fresh freesia note that’s light, crisp, and clean smelling. As the fragrance dies down there’s a slightly woodsy muskiness but I find that the freesia still plays in the background giving the overall fragrance a lighter floral fragrance.

If you love floral fragrances that are lighter without being cloying or overwhelming you’ll likely love Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey City Blossom. It’s actually a really nice Spring fragrance to gift your mom for Mother’s Day as although youthful it still manages to give off a very lovely Spring vibe making it a perfect pick for a gift!

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey City Blossom is available now at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, Nordstrom, Nordstrom.com

I love Issey Miyake scents, but I wasn’t impressed with this one. I like the original and the floral one the best, I bought the limited edition one for last spring for$78. I like it, but I wish I would have waited because I saw it at TJ Maxx for $39. Issey Miyake scents are clean and a breath of fresh air, this new one was too musky for my liking.
