Laura Geller Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation Review & Swatches
Laura Geller Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation ($39) is a new full coverage illuminating foundation that launched several weeks ago on QVC. Upon hearing the same I instantly had thoughts of the brightening and flawless finish I get from my beloved Laura Geller Baked n Brighten Powder.
I should have known better!
Laura Geller Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation comes bundles with a Liquid Foundation Brush and is housed in a 1 oz glass bottle. This is formulated with the same baked, color correcting pigments much like the ones you’d find in the Baked n Brighten Powder. This does contain almond oil as well as other hydrating ingredients.
Honestly, “radiance” should give you some hint of the finish but I just assumed that it would provide a more natural finish as advertised and not so much of a glow-y one.
One of best things about this foundation is the brush (how sad is that?). The brush is somewhat like ones we’ve been seeing from Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream and also Tarte has one as well as a few other brands. This is a very dense brush but still has softer, shed-free bristles. It is ideal for buffing foundation into skin for a flawless, airbrushed appearance.
One of the main reasons I dislike Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation is it reminds me too much of YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation which I happen to intensely dislike.
The texture runs creamy and thick and it blends out very easily. However, it is very slick and has a serum-like consistency which I do NOT like in the least. I’m really not into serum foundations as I find they make me look oily and shiny. I purchased this in a medium and the color was terribly off. It’s kinda a orange-y beige that oxidizes on my skin and dulls it horribly. The reason I wear foundation is to ease dullness but this just adds to my dullness. It just looks like I have foundation on and gives me a mask-like appearance. On top of the slick finish and horrible shade you do have to contend with it transferring so if you don’t set this with powder it’ll like end up on your jacket, shirt, etc….! The wear is very short since the finish never truly sets and it remains quite dewy throughout the wear which means it’s kinda smearing around through the wear and disappears rather quickly.

As someone who has drier skin you’d think I’d appreciate how much moisture this provides but no, no way! This is just too slick! I can’t say this had a radiance or glow. I didn’t detect any shimmer or sparkle or luminosity.
I have to admit I’m a little shocked. I think many people likely went into a purchase assuming it would be as nicely formulated as Laura’s cult favorite BnB Powder but it is not. Dull, tired looking skin is all I got from this foundation!
No like!
