The L’Oreal Collection Private Pure Reds Lipstick Collection has launched in the US and is now available exclusively at Walgreens! You might recall last year L’Oreal introduced the Collection Privee Colour Riche Lipstick which consisted of six shades of nude lipsticks! This year the L’Oreal Collection Private Reds Lipstick Collection has a selection of nine shades of red.
Just like the Collection Privee Colour Collection these are nine shades of custom made red shades which are based upon L’Oreal celebrity models each of which has a different skin tone enabling you to make the perfect selection of red (although I’m of the mentality you shouldn’t limited yourself when it comes to different colors of reds! Be a rebel, try something new, you might love it!).
I believe the original L’Oreal Collection Private Pure Reds Lipstick Collection in the UK consisted of only four shades! So we are getting a considerable larger collection in the US.
This collection features shades of red inspired by Blake Lively, Liya Kebede, Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, and Zoe Saldana. There’s also a shade entitled Because You’re Worth It Red.
Right now I’m seeing displays at Walgreens which are marketed as “exclusive” and also as a “Mother’s Day” display. I’m not sure if these shades are limited edition as they aren’t marked as such but they did end up making the Privee Colour Riche Lipstcks permanent so you never know! They come in a rubberized lipstick tube with a gold autograph for each of the women the shade represents.
Colors were marked at $10.79 each with a $2 instant coupon featured on the display.
I think they might just get a wider launch but perhaps Walgreens will be seeing them first but…don’t quote me on that. Last year the Privee Colour Riche Lipstick Collection was available everywhere so I’m surprised this particular collection is limited to one store.
The displays also feature a shade of Colour Riche Nail Polish to match the lipstick shades!
I’ll have swatches live shortly as well as a review.
Anyone see this collection at their local Walgreens?
