L’Oreal Jennifer’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Jennifer’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick or J Lo’s Red is one of several new red lipsticks that launched with the L’Oreal Private Collection Pure Reds. Each of the reds represent one of L’Oreal’s past celebrity and model ambassadors.
The collection was created so that you could easily purchase a perfect shade of red lipstick for your skin tone, hair, and eye color.
Let’s take a look at L’Oreal Jennifer’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick.
Last year, L’Oreal released Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick and I really liked and the same holds true for Jennifer’s Red!
Jennifer Lopez’s surprised me as it’s matte ruby red with cooler undertones. I thought they’d go with something warmer for J Lo’s coloring! It’s very similar to Blake’s Red which I’ll be reviewing shortly. It’s a very classic and traditional shade of red with dramatic color pay off. The formula is very creamy and smooth and it applies flawlessly. For me, it’s a creeper so I do need a little transparent lip liner to keep it from migrating and feathering. The pigmentation is excellent with full opaque coverage on a single application. The wear is strong at six hours without fading or losing intensity and it does leave behind a staining effect as it it begins to fade. Although matte in finish it isn’t dry in the least and the color doesn’t flake or dry out throughout the wear. It isn’t hydrating but it isn’t drying either and the finish is a satiny matte that’s very, very flattering with a smooth, even finish. The downfall is the play-doh taste and fragrance that L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks have sadly but it disappears fast enough after I’ve applied it.
It comes housed in rubberized black barrel with gold accents and J Lo’s autograph in gold. This packaging is a lot like NARS as it does collection grime and dirt easily sadly.
All in all if you’re seeing a classic red matte lipstick you’ll be very happy with L’Oreal Jennifer’s Red Colour Riche Lipstick! It’s a beautiful shade with an excellent formula and pigmentation.
Loves it!
