About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Yes… Dammit yes, I need it! Ugh! I haven’t really wanted anything else from the new line (aside from the Tarteguard SPF moisturizer that is AMAZING, BTW)… But this, I think I have to have.

These look nice. I just got the Tarte showstopper disc from Sephora yesterday along with Too faced sugar pop, too faced semisweet palette and the 2 loreal nude palettes from Ulta. I do not know how much I can use.
The eyeshadows in this new palette looks very small. But I love Tarte. Ahh. 😩

  • Mary Kay

Is it me, or are all Tarte e/s palettes starting to look alike? Browns and tans with a few plums thrown in. I’m all for wearability, but I don’t need every single variation of brown. How about a few pops of color Tarte?! I think things have changed since they were bought. I really don’t see myself as a Tartelette any longer.

agreed…I used to be so excited with tarte products when they just came out…now I’m just like EHHH.

  • Maria

I agree with Mary Kay 100%. Tarte has too many Browns and neutrals. They need more colors.

  • Diana

Those shadows do look really small…is that just the picture? If tarte can only put the names on palettes if the shadows are tiny then I’ll suck it up & keep those annoying plastic sheets. 🙁 But let’s face it…I’ll prob buy it.

Uhg, I agree with Maria and Mary Kay – I feel like I get a sense of deja vu every time I see a new Tarte palette. While I’m totally okay with all of the browns, I’m so sick of seeing the plums and pastel pinks! I would love to see some greens instead. I ordered their Miracles from the Amazon collection the day it came out on QVC and was a little disappointed, just like I was when I ordered their Sweet Indulgences holiday set and the Rainforest After Dark palette. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m just not a fan of their shadow formulas ;( They’re too hard for me and I feel like they never have that great color payoff, but it seems like I’m one of the only people who thinks that! I do love their blush though, and I love love love most of the packaging! Oh well, guess you can’t win ’em all…

  • Majick

I think Tarte used to put out more color. Now I feel like the shadows are so similar and kind of muddy out. I got the TSV with a palette like the new poppy one and seriously all the future shipments look like the same variation of brown or bronze…WTF?

This looks really nice and I can’t believe it is only a few more dollars than the poppy picnic! Will you be providing swatches of this one?
