Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Butter Lipstick ($17) is a new shade of Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick that launched with the Tarte Summer 2015 Collection and will be permanently added to their collection.

I’m a massive fan of Amazonian Butter Lipstick so I was excited to see they were making their very popular Park Ave Princess Bronzer into a shade of the lipstick!

Let’s take a look!

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Park Ave Princess

Tarte originally introduced their Amazonian Butter Lipstick in the Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty QVC Special Value Set back in 2013. Since that time Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick has become permanently part of Tarte’s main collection and is available in nine shade selections.

Park Ave Princess Bronzer has long since been a very popular product for Tarte and a popular shade selection as it seems to fit a very wide variety of skin tones and makes for an excellent universal bronzer shade courtesy the fact it isn’t too muddy nor too orange. It falls in the realms of being a perfect golden bronze that works well for both contouring and add sunny radiant to skin.

It doesn’t surprise me they decided that converting that or extending that shade if you will to a lipstick color was a good idea. What surprised me most about Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Butter Lipstick is the fact it is no way bronze. I seen promo photos but I did think that once I got my hands on the shade it would end up being some sort of gleaming bronze. It is not. Tarte went for a pure nude shade for the color. On my lips it a a slight pink beige nude. It’s not completely opaque when applied so the color will likely look different depending on how pigmented your lips are. It isn’t my ideal nude shade but thankfully it doesn’t appear zombie lip like or chalky on! It’s very natural and gives a shine to my lips with just a hint of nude.

The lipstick, as I said above, is one of my fav formulas from Tarte. It has a delicious minty taste and flavor. It glides on with a soft, buttery texture with a slight shine finish. It’s quite creamy and feels amazingly hydrating thanks to the cupuacu and murumuru butters it’s formulated with. It’s weightless and feels hydrating, soft, and comforable on my drier lips.

This comes in a cardboard tube and has a special packaging as well with a gold casing and gold palm tree accents. It does look small but it actually houses 0.1 oz of lipstick!

Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Butter Lipstick could be potentially misleading if you’re expecting a bronze-y shade of lip color! But if you’re all about nude and natural for your Summer looks this shade is bound to be pleasing! And super lightweight and comfortable for wearing in the Summer sun!

I’m wondering if it’s meant more as a companion to the bronzer, thus why it’s not actually bronze? I have no idea what kind of marketing they put out for it though so I am probably wrong lol

Ooh! It looks so moisturizing! And that color is great on you. Like a your lips but better. *puts on must get list* :]

To my eye this shade looks exactly like Nude Beach from the Too Faced Better Than Chocolate set! Do you notice a difference?

Nooooo – not another pink! What has happened to the colour of year Marsala?

Oh I like this color a lot. It’s so delicate and pretty. Perfect when you want some color but don’t want to look too bright.

I might try this one out! I’m always looking for a good nude shade for work, and with summer coming (and my bright eyeshadows coming out of hiding), I know I’ll reach for them more often.

My lips don’t have much color, so I need something with more oomph, so I don’t look washed out.

I impulse purchased this after seeing it in-store and trying it on. I didn’t know if it was LE or not (it was on the top of the tarte display as a promoted item); I decided not to chance it. 🙂

Might this act as a dupe for the long discontinued 24 K Gold lipstick from Benefit?

    I miss it!
