About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. While these colors look very summery, they don’t scream Beauty and the Beast to me. I feel like we need a bright yellow for Belle’s dress, a royal blue for the Beast, and more of a pinky red for the rose.

Uuuhhhhh – looking forward to the elf collection 😀 If the packaging is as beautiful as the frozen one….

I agree, these nail polishes look like they are carried over from the Frozen collection. They should have had golds, reds, yellows, browns, and blues for the Beauty and the Beast collection. I’m disappointed.

I’m going to agree that I don’t see anything here that looks like a Beauty and the Beast collection. It looks like they took a random assortment of spring/summer colors, slapped Belle’s name on it, and called it a collection. There’s no yellow or cobalt, and the blue isn’t even the right shade for Belle’s blue dress.

I think I would be willing to buy them no matter what the color if they were packaged as Belle. They are just orley polishes

The collection is not based around the movie. If you look at the Pantone colors for spring 2015, these are the same. The colors were chosen first, then a movie was chosen to make it a theme. Yellow was in the Frozen collection because custard is one of the colors. Even though it would have made sense in the Beauty and the Beast collection, they’d already put it in the Frozen collection. Crazy ol’ Maurice is a representation of Lucite Green. Nothing in the movie was really that color, so they just picked Maurice. Gaston’s color is actually Tangerine, also one of the Pantone’s colors. They didn’t use Marsala because it’s not a summery color.
