Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Review & Swatches
Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour not to be confused with Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour is a new lip pencil that launched with the Wet n Wild California Dreaming Summer 2015 Collection.
I looked at the California Dreaming display and didn’t even realize that this was a newly formulated Megaslicks Balm! I just assumed it was the Balm Stain formula as they look the same but turns out these are a new “Balm Tint” which provide sheerer color. They are kinda like a cheap budget friendly version of the Clinique Baby Tints! Even the shade I choose Don’t Be Jelly, reminds me of Flowering Freesia from the Baby Tints range!
Let’s take a look!
Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour ($2.99) are available for a limited time in four shade selections for Summer 2015. These have the same twist up chubby pencil design as the Megaslicks Balm Stain the main difference between the two is simply that the Balm Tints are considerably more sheer.
Again, it can get confusing! When I saw the display I was like, “Oh new Balm Stains!” Maybe a little packaging difference might help to differentiate the two products because I’m pretty sure I won’t be alone making this mistake.

I only purchased one shade and honestly, I’m probably not missing much by owning only the one shade because they are are a sheer formula and will likely all look the same on lips. If you’re comparing them to Clinique’s formula not only are they cheaper but they also have a touch more color and the formula is a little less dense. This is a thin slightly balmy texture that applies easily on lips. I didn’t feel it really provided much in the way of moisture but the formula isn’t drying either. There is no fragrance or flavor so if you’re sensitive you’ll be happy to hear it I’m sure. Don’t Be Jelly is a translucent purple shade that kinda sorta applies like many of the pH style lipglosses or lipsticks or balms you already own in the fact it kinda gives lips a bright pink color. The formula is comfortable on my lips and wears for about two to three hours.
There are a good deal of chubby lip pencils on the market at the moment with plenty of pigment. If you’re looking for something with lighter wear and color for Summer you might like Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour. Personally I was kinda a little meh on it. It’s a little uneventful for me! It’s a nice budget pick up with a fairly good formula but the fact it runs so sheer does bore me slightly even for days I’m going lighter with my makeup! It’s really a toss up with these! You’re going to either really love ’em or feel like you just don’t need them. I fall into the “I just don’t need ’em!”
