Doll 10 Beauty Blend Smart Rotating Makeup Brush System ($59.98) might sound like a gimmicky makeup brush but I’m here to tell you it’s really rather awesome! Vibrating sponges are quite a popular commodity in Korea and Japan. The trend has slowed down a little bit in Asia but for a second there many popular BB Creams were being packaged with vibrating sponges!

But a rotating foundation brush? Well, that’s ALL new!

Let’s take a look!

So I should say that I happen to be a huge fan of the long gone Lancome Oscillation Power Foundation and in some way Doll 10 Beauty Blend Smart Rotating Makeup Brush totally reminds me of it.

So what’s it do? How’s it work? Do you need it?

Doll10 Beauty Blend Smart Brush

This is a fibre brush with a flat top medium size head that’s ideal for blending. The brush shape isn’t unique by any means as it’s likely something you might even already have in your collection if you use mineral foundation a lot. The brush has very soft shed-free bristles that aren’t scratchy in the least. What makes the brush unique is it actually rotates 360 degrees with the click of a button (takes one 3V battery). So it basically makes blending your liquid, cream, and powder foundations a little easier as you can gently move it around your face but the bristles do all the blending and buffing work for you. The brush head does pop right off the handle so you can easily wash it without submerging the entire handle in water (which you obviously don’t want to do)!

Ok, so it might seem pointless to you but not to me. I’m a dry skin girl and powders aren’t my friend. I feel like I have a mask whenever I “buff” powder on my skin. I love how the vibrations of this brush break down the powder into a sheer layer on my skin and create a more polished, even, and airbrushed appearance. It also does an incredible job with BB Creams and cream foundation as it also breaks those downs, sheers them out, and creates a smooth appearance. Again, it might seem like you can do the same without the rotation but I feel like the rotation combined with the slight vibrations of the brush break down and sheer out the textures of powders and thicker creams giving them a truly flawless, airbrushed appearance!

Now I have a real problem because I love the brush so much I think I’m going to need two more! One for blushes (yeah, it’s a wizard applying Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Blush) and one for BB Cream. No worries though! You can simply purchase a replacement head for each formula you’d like to use it with! Or wash off the one you already have but I find it handy having different heads for different products!

For a flawless, airbrushed appearance I’d highly recommend checking out the Doll 10 Beauty Blend Smart Rotating Makeup Brush System. This little brush is sure to become a staple in your routine and a fond favorite.

I have my brush for over a month. I too love it. Makes blending a dream. My cats did not like the sound it made when I first used it but they are used to it now.

    • Lee-Anne

I just started using this brush this morning and looked down to see my 2 cats sitting looking at me a bit bewildered and uncertain!!

I don’t even think they were in the room when I started using it lol!!

Do you think this would make products last longer because the brush could blend the product on your skin better? Im curious. Im thinking Hourglass ambient powders would be awesome with this; the perfect natural flush.

    • Isabella Muse

Not really Robin, It does great blending product out but I didn’t feel it made things last longer!

  • Carol

Wow, this is interesting indeed! I agree, it would be killer for blending out powders. This is actually a cool concept.

I saw this yesterday when I was trying to find out if their powder you featured was talc based, and thought hmmm.
I usually do either tapping (stippling) or light strokes more than I do buffing motions, so I don’t know if I’d like this. I sure would like to try it though. Nice to see you gave it a thumbs up.

How do these brushes not remove all the products we have to put UNDER our foundation?

    Help!

    • Isabella Muse

What products are you putting under your foundation aside from primer? Confused!!?

  • Dayna

Have you tried the Artis oval brushes? Do you like those or this rotating brush better?

    • Isabella Muse

I have but you can’t really compare the two, they are very different products.

Looks like I’m “odd man out” on this one – but I returned it. I couldn’t believe how loud & obnoxious it is! There was NO indication of it making ANY noise at all on the QVC sales presentation! And if the unbelievable noise of the brush wasn’t bad enough – I have small dogs & they went absolutely ballistic every time I tried to use it!
Additionally, I thought it made a huge mess of my IT powder foundation. And I was not impressed w/the look of any of my foundations w/this one.

They no longer sell the replacement brushes. I’ve only had mine a few months.
