Smashbox BB Water

For Fall 2015, Smashbox gifts us with their new Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30 ($42) which is a new liquid BB Cream in eight shades. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water does give off a Cover FX Cover Drops vibe but count me curious none the less!

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water has an oil and alcohol free formula which is infused with Smashbox’s Primer Water giving it a liquid texture but the benefits of a BB Cream. According to the brand it glides onto skin and provides buildable coverage and unlike Cover Drops FX it’s a sheerer yet perfecting product that gives skin a flawless appearance.

Count me curious about this one!

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water is available now at smashbox.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Especially if it can be used on it’s own-Cover Fx Drops have to be mixed with another medium.

This sounds interesting. I still haven’t tried the primer water they came out with

Actually the BB Water is Oil & Alcohol FREE. There is none of either in this product. 🙂 Wgichis great for sensitive skin.

This stuff is really nice. I have oily skin and I appreciate that it is oil and alcohol free. The coverage is buildable and does a good job of hiding imperfections. It leaves a nice radiance to the skin: not too matte but not “I need some powder now”. I was not a BB cream user because I never found one that controlled my oily skin but I’m a convert now.

I tried this just on my hand in the store today and it felt very nice! I will definitely plan to pick it up in the future but today I had to decide between this and the blue primer from MUFE as I couldn’t afford to grab them both (since I was primarily there to pick up a bunch of lipsticks)–the primer won out for now just because it was a little cheaper.

I know the original Smashbox BB is very highly regarded but I personally hated it. SPF is important but it still felt way too much like sunscreen for my taste. This one felt like–well, it felt like nothing!

Hey! I tried this today at Sephora and I really liked it!! I have combo skin, more towards being dry and sensitive too. I have kinda large pores and it did a good job in minimizing them to a good extent and my face hasn’t dried out either. I just needed two drops for a simple healthy skin look 🙂
