Too Faced Love Palette Coming this June

How much do you LOVE the Too Faced Love Palette that’s arriving online June 15th at toofaced.com (and in stores July 15th).

Jerrod posted a photo of it on Instagram and says it is inspired by the lost art of love betters. The shadows are created using a slurry technology which gives them a soft, velvety texture with a multidimensional color pay off!

I obviously NEED this.

I love all the hearts that Too Faced is going with lately. That’s kinda turning into their thing isn’t it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Now this is something I am excited about! Much more interesting than the naked smoky palette.

  • Kristin

Well golly. June 15 is my birthday! If that’s not a sign of destiny, I don’t know what is!

  • Rachel R.

Oh, that is too cute. I’m not sure about “slurry technology.” I hope the shadows are good; I like the colors.

  • MythKitty

Oh… I <3 this palette! Well, at least the design. I hope it preforms well and is more wearable than the Return of Sexy palette. Do you know if it's permanent?

    • Isabella Muse

no info released yet so not sure! But I’ll let ya know!

  • Amber

I think I love this palette. Gorgeous colors! And actual color not neutrals! I like neutrals as much as the next girl but I think I have enough for forty people now so some color is looking super good! 🙂

  • Judy

oh my! this palette is right up my ally!!!! not that i need another eyeshadow palette but one is awesome~

  • Terri

As George Takei would say…..OH MY….

Yep, I’m buying that. So lovely!!!

this reminds me of some japanese palettes from years ago.. is it lavshuca? i feel like the american beauty companies are taking a lot of inspiration from japanese products, packaging and technology wise! that’s a smart move!

I’m a Too Faced fan but I have to say, they are trying my patience. This looks just like a re-worked version of the Return of Sexy palette. It seems to me that Too Faced loves to give new names to the same not-new colors, and/or repackage their palettes with one or two new shades but all else is the same. I don’t need dupes for everything! I have no hesitation passing on this one.

  • Maria

Love this design. I hope the shades are pigmented. This one has my name on it.

  • Dora

I think they need to come up with a new name for “slurry technology.” That sounds kind of gross. Also, this is just not tempting to me — maybe will change my tune when I see swatches or see it at Sephora.

  • CupK8

I kind of admit to wanting this palette for the theme as much as for the colors. Love letterrrrs <3 I do like the variety, though 🙂

  • Genevieve

Beautiful design and lots of delicious colours – but only one green!

  • Zovesta

If hearts is becoming Too Faced’s theme, I’m not complaining. Are there ever enough hearts? Never!! I will definitely have to swatch this, at least, although none of the colours are speaking to me…

  • Holly

They have a new foundation called born again launching that same day I hope it’s good!!!

“Slurry”? Gross. Where I live slurry is the orange stuff dropped from airplanes onto forest fires.

But the colors in this palette are pretty, wish there were some mattes in there with all the shimmers.

Your comment led me to investigate “slurry technology” and this is what I discovered:

“A thin mixture of a liquid, especially water, and any of several finely divided substances, such as cement, plaster of Paris, or clay particles.” ~The Free Dictionary

      AND:

      Less hardness difference
Easier to press the powder which has much pearl
The product become looseness(such as sponge state), so the touch feeling is much better and smooth.
The small powder piece on the edge of pan is much less, so this small powder piece doesn’t fall down in the product shipment.
Good environment for operator regarding powder dust exposure, because powder dust doesn’t fly in the air(because of slurry).

      ~From http://www.nanyo.org/slurry.html

In essence, it seems the slurry you are familiar with and the “slurry technology” used in this palette are derived some a similar process. It also doesn’t appear to be a new method of creating makeup products.

I know what “slurry” means in a general sense; I was merely saying that the word has one particular local meaning where I live so that’s what pops into my mind first.
