And You Said Lancome Bi-Facil Was Expensive…

Lancome Bi-Facil 1

I piss, moan, whine, and bitch about the price of Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover like you would NOT believe. I’m all about splurging on skincare but tell me that I need to spend $30 on an eye makeup remover and I cringe in absolute horror. I dunno why that is…! Maybe because it’s something I go through quickly? I’m not sure what it is but as much as I love Bi-Facil I can’t quite swallow that $30 price tag.

What if I told you there’s an eye makeup remover even more expensive?

Guerlain Eye Makeup Remover

Guerlain’s Secret de Pureté Beauté des Yeux Gentle Eye Makeup Remover is 4.2 oz in size, $55 dollars, and could possible contain water from the foundation of youth. That last part is unconfirmed.

Needless to say, as much as I love Guerlain I DOUBT I’ll be indulging in $55 eye makeup remover anytime soon!

But if I had a million dollars….

Naa, even if I did have a million bucks I wouldn’t spend it on near $60 buck eye makeup remover.

Thanks but no thanks!

Just go to Target for the $10 Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover. It’s better then BiFacil, seriously… and it leaves $20 free to go spend on other goodies 😉

yup, I reviewed it in the past and liked it! 🙂 There are some great makeup removers around!

  • Gisella

That makeup remover better have some magical fairy water in it with that price tag lol. Then again, I remember seeing a concealer being sold for $90 (Cle de Peau I believe??) and almost choked on my coffee. Then again, I always feel bad for buying Naked palettes full price at $50 (I never do btw, I always use coupons :D), let alone a make-up remover!

    • Isabella Muse

haha I hear ya! Yeah Cle’s concealer is very very expensive! Lovely formula but TOO $$$!

  • Kate

I used to use BiFacil but have to say I like Simple or whatever the exact brand name is, Micellar Water just as much.

  • Denise

I used to swear by Clinique, but at something like $15/bottle, that made me cringe! Now I use L’Oreal Clean Artiste for around $7, and save my $$$ to indulge my high end palette obsession.

  • Brian

Bi-Facil is pricey but thankfully I have a small collection of the mini sizes from Lancome GWPs lol!
I do like Clinique’s Take The Day Off for Eyes and Lips as well but Bi-Facil still remains my favorite!

Almay eye makeup remover pads here. Idk what they cost, but I know it’s a lot less.

  • kimkats

$55??!! that had better come with a unicorn or at least a host of leprechauns to apply it for me for that kinda money!!!

no way for this kid… I’ll stick with cliniuqe or the SK one… much much cheaper and they work just fine, thankyewverymuch..a

Have you tried Marcelle for sentive eyes? It’s great without the residue and removes waterproof makeup easily without tugging. It’s $15 for 150ml which is 5 oz.

  • Cindy

BiFacil is the only one I use and I’ve *NEVER* bought a bottle at full price! Most of mine were free in GWP’s! If you are a Lancome user they are worth it! They also offer a full-sized bottle every year for the holiday PWP, which is worth it as well – check them out!

Am totally with you on hating to spend a lot on eye make up remover! There is a few I like including Clarins but I usually stick with L’Oreal Absolute eye and lip make up remover. However am currently on a huge tub of Eve Lom cleanser (QVCUK special!) and that is the bomb at taking any eye make up off!! I don’t need eye make up remover – it dissolves every little bit of eye liner and mascara.

I also hate the 2 phase e-make up removers that are quite greasy like Clinique and Bobbi Brown. Even some the ones that say they are non oily or greasy still feel yuk!!

If I had a million bucks I might well go for something more luxurious as I am sure it could help the gentle skin around the eyes.

  • Jay

Hmmm…if I had a million dollars, the peformance was even BETTER than Bi-Facil, and the packaging was super chic and included discounted refills, maaaaaybe…

I have to remind myself that to some people spending $55 is like losing a $5 bill in the laundry lol.

  • Cindy

It must be 100% unicorn tears, laced with 24 karat gold nanoparticles. I mean, seriously! Who in their right mind would pay this price for an eye makeup remover?! I wouldn’t pay this price even if I were Melinda Gates! I guess this product is marketed for people with more money than brains.

  • Karin

That’s ridiculous. I’d use plain old olive oil before spending $55 to remove my mascara. I’ll spend that much on a good foundation (guilty) or serum, but not on a makeup remover – especially when I double cleanse anyway.

  • Ruth

I use lush’s 9-5 and it takes everything off, except that newish Rimmel lip stain (but nothing is getting that off except maybe motor oil). I just smoosh it all over my face, rub gently on my eyes to get the liquid liner off and all my make up is gone. I was taking my make up off one night and had colors all over my face and asked my husband, “Why so serious?” and he just stared at me like, why are you like this all the time?

  • jai

Shoot I have a sample of the bi-facil that I don’t want to use because I know it’s expensive and I don’t want to become addicted to it. I think I will try it though

  • Ashley

This eye makeup remover is the best and Clarins and Clinque make good ones too.

I love that Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover! I have oily lids, so I have to wear many layers of tenacious eye makeup, and that thing melts it all off instantly, with no oily residue and doesn’t dry out my delicate eye area. You can get a big bottle for cheap, and I also stock up during Sephora sale
