Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum Eye Contour and Face Review

Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum Eye Contour and Face

Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum Eye Contour and Face ($12) is a bi-phase facial and eye serum that contains hyaluronic acid to moisturize and help retain moisture around the face and eyes. As a girl who suffers from dry under eyes I was intrigued by this product and purchased it at the Kiko Cosmetics store in the Palisades Mall that opened a few months ago.

Let’s take a look!

Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum

Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum Eye Contour and Face is a nourishing oil serum that you can be used to boost moisture to your face or under your eyes. This comes housed in a 0.67 oz glass bottle with a dropper for application. It is a bi-phase liquid so it does appear separated at first with a clear liquid at the top and a pink on the bottom. Once shaken both liquids combine to create a dusky rose shade! It has a delicate rose fragrance that’s very pleasant to my nose and isn’t cloying or old-lady like in the least.

I apply this by dropping a few drops on the back of my hand, patting my finger into the liquid, and gently patting it under my eyes. It feels very slick and oily at first but as you pat it becomes a bit tacky and sets to a softer, smoother finish sans the tack! The texture is quite runny and thin but it absorbs fairy easily under eyes and on skin. I’m not really a fan of it on my face as I don’t feel like it delivers all that much moisture but under my eyes it does a nice job of lighting hydrating and prepping for concealer. It does take a few seconds to set though so keep that in mind if you plan to do your makeup quick in the AM as you want to give it a second to just absorb and set fully prior to applying makeup!

Honestly, it isn’t the end all in moisture though. It feels nice enough but the hydration is very light as for someone who has fairly dry eyes I need a lot more moisture than this provides. It is a fine prep for concealer though but I personally prefer my eye cream for the best results. However, if you don’t suffer from drier eyes it might prove a nice way to add a little light moisture that will ease the way for a drier concealer!

All in all Kiko Double Booster Two Phase Serum Eye Contour and Face has a lot of potential but doesn’t quite deliver the moisture this dry skin girl needs.

i haven’t tried any skincare product from Kiko, only a sunscreen stick last year. For some reason I am a bit scared to try LOL

I don’t know why actually… my skin is breakout prone. I am too scared to try skincare products from a non-skincare brand. I had a very bad skin phase last year/year and a half which damaged the skin around my mouth area, because of using a goddamn chemical exfoliant above all other things. I developed an eczema type of reaction which i still have to take care of to this day 🙁

Oh I don’t blame you in that case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My skin is fairly resilient but I notice the older I get the more I have to be careful as well because certain products dry my skin out even more than it already is!
