Mizon No. 1 Moist King’s Berry Sheet Mask Review
I have a minor obsession with Mizon’s King to the Kong Skincare Collection so of course, I needed these cutesy Mizon No. 1 Moist King’s Berry Sheet Mask! Packaging screws with my mind unfortunately and King is just too cute with his big old pouty lips!
Let’s take a look!
Mizon No. 1 Moist King’s Berry Sheet Mask are available as single sheet mask purchases for around $1 to $2 per mask (retails like Peach and Lily sell these for $4 per mask). I don’t like this as I find it cheaper and easier to buy a box of facial masks versus just one. But hey, I guess if the formula tickles me I’ll likely go ahead and purchase individual sheet masks but I haven’t quite found ones I like enough to do that.
King’s mask is infused with black chokeberry as are all the products in the Mizon King to the Kong Collection. Chokeberry apparently contains phyto-nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants that help to brighten skin and smooth the appearance of fine lines. I’ve never felt it did much of anything to be honest as I’ve used a lot of the King to the Kong Skincare but never noticed a brighter, whiter complexion after use!
These are a standard sheet mask made with a very thick cotton fiber that’s saturated with essence with holes for your eyes, nose, and mouth. You can wear it for 10 to 20 minutes, peel it off, toss it out, and gently press your palms to your face to allow any excess essence to absorb fully. No need to rinse after use.
Unfortunately the sheet masks fail to deliver much of anything. I dislike the cotton fiber immensely. The fiber is very thick and reminds me of some of the older My Beauty Diary Masks. I think thinner masks allow essence to absorb a little easier versus ones that are thick as King’s mask which felt drier with a lot less essence than I’m used to. Many times sheet masks deliver visible yet temporary results so skin appears brighter after use almost instantly. Unfortunately I didn’t experience that with King’s mask and that would have been fine if at the very least it provided moisture. But again, it failed in that department as well! It only provides very light moisture! I personally use masks quite often because I love how much moisture they provide to my skin but this failed to do even that.
Mizon No. 1 Moist King’s Berry Sheet Mask get a big thumbs down from me. There are way better and cheaper Asian facial sheet masks out there to try that provide way more moisture and other benefits versus this formula.
