Tarte Tempted LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint is a dark shade of vampy berry that almost looks grape on my lips. This is an ideal Fall shade and actually very, very wearable. I typically have a difficult time wearing vampy, darken shades of berry or red but this shade is actually very easy to wear. The matte finish also makes it right on point for the matte lip trend we’re seeing making a come back for the Fall 2015 season.
As a fan of Lipsurgence I have to admit the matte formula isn’t always my favorite. I find the shades a hit or a miss for me as the formula is a little inconsistent and seems to vary from shade to shade. Tempted is a bit on the dry side so although I adore the shade the formula was a liked a little less by me. The texture was even and smooth on my lips and although dry it didn’t feel it sucked moisture from my lips. However, my issue with the pencil was the fact that it dragged a good deal during application. I felt like I had to struggle with it during application. Color did wear for a solid six hours though without fading and left behind a slight staining effect after. For sensitive users it does have a cool, fresh mint taste.

Tarte Tempted LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint excels in the color department providing rich pigmented color to lips, it also looks smooth on lips and wears for several very straight hours without fading, but application is a bit iffy in my opinion so expect for a little bit of a tug, drag, and struggle when applying should you haul this one.
