Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Paper Mask

Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfect Paper Mask ($15.99) are one of several new Yes to Grapefruit skincare products launching this July at drugstores. Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Paper Masks are exciting as facial sheet masks here in the US market are becoming increasingly popular and I’m seeing more and more drugstore and mid-range offerings available in a variety of different formulas!

Granted, Korean facial masks (my favorite!) are easy enough to get but you do have to wait for shipping, pay for airmail costs, etc…isn’t it nice stepping into your local Sephora or even Target and picking up your favorite facial mask for instant gratification yes?

Yes To Grapefruit Pore Perfection Paper Mask bring the joys of facial sheet masks to your local drugstore!

Take a peek!

Compared to Asian sheet masks the new Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfect Paper Masks are a bit expensive at $15.99 for a box of five. This is sadly one of the first things that caught my attention! I wish they were a LITTLE more budget friendly but considering there are so many coupons and sales at drugstores I’m sure you’ll never actually pay $16 for a box anyway so that’s good news.

These are formulated with vitamin C to help refine pores while brightening skin. They are also water based with glycerin to add moisture. The sheet masks are made from a thin paper-like material called Tencel. Tencel is a natural, man-made fiber that has a similar feel to rayon. These sheet masks are actually the first natural masks on the market. This material actually allows your skin to absorb the ingredients more easily into your skin.

I don’t technically have visible pores but the Vitamin C aspect does tempt me as I suffer from duller, lackluster skin and I’m always look for ways to brighten my complexion up. I find the fit on the masks is fairly good but there’s a little bit of bunching at the bottom portion by my chin but nothing to bad. I always comment on the fit of a mask because I find the ones here in the US tend to tear or fit poorly. This is a thinner mask but the fit was good and I didn’t have issues with tearing.

Now I do tend to like my sheet masks super saturated with essence and Yes to Grapefruit masks run drier. These don’t have a super moist, slippery feel and aren’t heavily saturated. I find most US brands don’t have a ton of essence in the mix. This isn’t a bad thing at all but I’m used to a more hydrating mask myself. I’ve used three of the five masks over the course of a week and a half period and my face is visibly brighter and less lackluster after each use. I wouldn’t say these are formulated strongly enough to fade dark spots but they are an excellent way to get visibly brighter skin after each use. Unfortunately, they aren’t moisturizing enough for this dry skin girl and only provide very light hydration. Again, I’m unsure about the pore reduction as I don’t have larger, visible pores so if anyone tries these you’ll have to tell me how they do for pores! These do have a grapefruit fragrance so just a head’s up for sensitive users!

If you’ve never used a sheet mask before they are a fun and easy way to treat your skin to instant moisture, brightness, etc…each is made from a cotton fiber-like material or in this case Tencel fiber and has cut outs for your eyes, nose, and mouth. The masks are saturated with a cocktail of ingredients that add moisture, brightness, fight blemishes, etc…depending which formula you purchase. You place the mask on your face for 10 to 20 minutes, sit around watching your favorite TV show (like, say, Teen Wolf), and peel it off after the time is up. After that your face will feel slick but don’t wash it! Simply press the palms of your hands onto your face to allow the essence to absorb fully. Now follow up with your normal skincare!

Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Paper Mask didn’t quite have everything I look for in a face mask but they are a step in the right direction. I’m happy to see more and more brands releasing drugstore facial sheet masks that can easily be purchased at local retailers like Target, Walgreens, CVS, etc…! It’s also nice to see more natural options like these masks available!

Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Paper Mask will be arriving at drugstores shortly.

Have you tried them?
