Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist

I purchased the new Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist that’s being repromoted with the Bath & Body Works Fall 2015 Collection. Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fine Fragrance Mist isn’t actually new as it was introduced in Fall 2014 but last year I recall not even bothering to smell it because, well, I find the Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist formula a little weak for my tastes.

I know many say that layering is key but I’m not a huge fan of Bath & Body Works Lotions or Creams as they feel a bit sticky to me so if they made this into a perfume I’d be a very happy girl!

None the less my Fall loving self couldn’t resist and this year I did haul a Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist for myself and here are my thoughts!

Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist has an entire range of notes that I actually don’t smell during the initial application or the dry down. For example, this apparently has white ginger, sheer jasmine, and nectar as the top notes but I don’t smell any of that. For the middle notes you have pumpkin latte, toasted marshmallow and fresh nutmeg with a dry down of creamy sandalwood, praline musk, and warm vanilla.

The notes aren’t really complex and the fragrance isn’t really unique but somehow, someway this scent has a way of morphing, changing, and rearranging itself. At first mist I get a subtle hint of spicy pumpkin! This is the most dominate note in the blend and I really don’t get latte or coffee anything through the wear so don’t expect it to smell like a warm cup of your favorite spicy pumpkin coffee blend. As it sets you’ll instantly pick up on a creamy marshmallow note combined with the pumpkin and dare I say it goes ooey gooey sticky marshmallow on me! It’s very creamy and edible smelling! Sweet but spicy too! As it dries down further the pumpkin becomes a back note and warm sugary vanilla becomes more prominent and mixes with sandalwood and a hint of musk which is entwined with praline. There’s still pumpkin here and marshmallow but it plays a back note to the vanilla and sandalwood.

It’s strange because as I said the fragrance isn’t terribly unique but the way its executed makes it very different and unusual and not like any number of the Bath & Body Works Fall fragrances we see over and over and over again.

Now I am happy with the wear time. Not happy happy happy but happy enough. I always find the Fine Fragrance Mist formula very weak! A few years ago they reformulated the mists so they would be stronger and sometimes you get lucky and they are strong and that’s the case with Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist! This is fairly strong and has a nice linger with a fairly good throw. I wouldn’t say it’s going to last you 8 or even 10 hours but you’ll get at least 5 hours of wear with a nice throw that will have people asking, “What are you wearing?” “Wow, is someone eating something? It smells good!” So although not ecstatic with the wear I am quite happy with it!

All in all Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fragrance Mist gets a big yay from me. I like this one! Yes, it can be potentially disappointing if you wanted to smell like your favorite cup of seasonal Fall coffee! But you likely won’t be too disappointed once you smell it. It’s very delicious, comforting, and perfect for Fall!
