Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex Review & Swatches

Jurlique Hydra-Gloss

Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex ($19) is a perfect pick for us ladies and lads who have dry, flaky lips to contend with. I’m always looking for the next best thing to hydrate my lips and lord knows as much as I love me some Hourglass Cosmetics new No 28 Lip Treatment Oil that stuff is lethal on my wallet and as much as I love it can get mighty expensive quickly.

So, yes, I’m always looking for the next best thing and now my sights are on Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex for softening and moisturizing these dry lips!

Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex

I actually had hopes Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex would not only act to soften my lips but also as a nice little gloss for touch ups through the day. This is little lip treatment is available in two shades so on top of moisturizing and acting as a lipgloss I also had hopes it would give me a nice, nude lip look as the shades seemed to point in the natural direction.

Bad news.

Technically I’m not into wearing these out and about or using them for touch up as the formula gives lips a milky, zombie look. Not pretty. The two shades are I’m Neutral which is a light, milky peach and I’m Blushing which is a light milky peachy pink. Both shades looks nice in the tubes but they apply with a translucent milkiness on lips and it isn’t very flattering to go out and about with in my humblest.

On that note I will say this formula is divine for softening lips and adding much need moisture! The gloss has a peppermint taste and fragrance with thicker yet soft, emollient texture that goes a bit thinner and oily when applied. They kinda sorta remind me of a thinner more comfortable to wear version of Jack Black Lip Balm. I find the formula very soothing with plenty if Vitamin E to add moisture and nourishment to lips.

If you have drier lips the Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex are a nice little treat to add much needed moisture. I just wish they were a little more wearable for daily use….! The colors just aren’t flattering enough for me to walk out of the house with so I have to deduct a few points for that. But the moisture levels are outstanding so you might want to overlook that little flaw.

Jurlique Hydra-Gloss with Nutri-Oil Complex are available now at feelunique.com.

I purchased this item.

Hmmm, these look like watered down pink and chocolate Nesquik milk LOL

I find the much raved about Lanolips has that problem on me too. I may have ordered a too light shade but it was one of the mid toned ones so should have been ok. I think I wore it once and have no idea where it is now!!
I’m really enjoying The Saem lip tint oil (the purple shade) at the moment – it’s a dupe for YSL Tint in Oil apparently but a lot cheaper. Can’t go wrong with the absolutely wonderful (although non tinted) Puresmile snail lips either!

Yeah, the colors don’t look very attractive, lol 🙂 Good to hear the formula is at least moisturizing though.
