Skinfood Vita Water Pore Fit Cushion Bottle Review & Swatches
You might recall the rather fun yet annoying Skinfood Vita Water Pore Fit Cushion Bottle commercial I posted earlier this month! Skinfood Vita Water Pore Fit Cushion Bottle is an interesting foundation product that launched earlier this Spring in Korea!
Take a look!
Skinfood Vita Water Pore Fit Cushion Bottle is available in two shade selections and comes a pump style aerosol can. This promises coverage in a cooling formula that refresh heat stressed enlarged pores that helps to control oil with a smooth, even finish.
So yeah, I don’t really have larger pores nor am I very oily BUT in the Summer I do experience some oil and shine plus I have visible smaller pores on my nose. Add in the fact I just was really curious about this packaging courtesy Skinfood’s commercial and in I went for a purchase.
I guess this is based on Skinfood’s Vita Water Facial Mist and Skinfood Facial Ice Vita Mist in the fact it apparently contains Vita Complex and Alaska glacier water. It comes housed in an aerosol pump can which has a screw top lid that you can toggle on and off. The first thing you want to do is shake the bottle prior to applying (you’ll have to shake it with each use) after that you’ll press down on the top portion of the lid and a fine mist of foundation releases into a sponge that comes with your purchase (there are actually two sponges that come with the foundation). Do not, I repeat do not, push and pump down without the sponge covering the top portion of the bottle as you’ll mist foundation into the air, onto yourself, etc…which results in a mess and waste.
You’ll want to push down and pump 4 to 5 times so your sponge becomes nicely saturated. I made the mistake of pumping three times and felt the foundation was very, very, very sheer! A good 4 pumps does it for me so don’t be stingy with your pumps 🙂
The formula has a very COOL and refreshing feel kinda like Etude House Ice Shot Rapid Cooling Mist. The idea of the cooling effect is to get your pores to close up which results in less oil! Kinda the same concept of washing your face with warm water and splashing it later on with cooler water. If this actually works, well, that’s iffy at best but I will say this formula does feel quite mattifying on skin. It does contain an SPF 50 but I feel like I apply so little that this isn’t adequate coverage so I would recommend applying your own SPF prior to this foundation.
The foundation formula is a very thin consistency. It’s a mist after all so I didn’t expect a heavier texture! It also runs sheerer but has enough pigment to even out skin tone and perfect skin. Considering I don’t have blemishes or acne scarring or any other issue that needs major coverage I was quite comfortable with the perfect coverage this provided. It brightens skin up, evens it out, and provides a very nice, even smooth tone. It’s a my skin but better finish that’s light, weightless, and looks incredible. I got it in shade 2 which was a fairly good match for my skin. The wear is a little shorter on this but it’s easy to touch up although bulky to carry this can around. I get about five hours of wear before I see fading.
Although I have drier skin I never felt this looked dry nor did I feel like it clung to drier areas. The finish is matte but it’s a very soft matte finish so it isn’t clinging to drier areas. It looks very smooth and seamless on my skin. If you’re sensitive it does indeed have a light fresh scent so just a heads up!
All in all I could see myself using Skinfood Vita Water Pore Fit Cushion Bottle daily. This can easily become a foundation staple as it has all the things I love in a foundation which would be lightweight, seamless coverage that creates a my skin but better appearance.
Loves this!
