Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Brightening Peel

If dull skin has you down maybe a little Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Brightening Peel ($15.99) is in order! Pore Perfection Brightening Peel is one of several new skincare products that Yes to Grapefruit has added to their permanent range. This wash off face mask promises to shrink the appearance of pores while diminishing the appearance of dark spots, even out skin tone, and leave skin feeling rejuvenated.

Take a look!

I happen to be a mask junkie! I love masks. I like sitting around in sheet masks while I’m gaming to give my dull skin a much needed boast of moisture. I like watching Supernatural with green goo on my face that promises to make me look 50 years younger. Plain and simple, I’m addicted to face masks.

I wouldn’t say Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Brightening Peel changed my life but it is a rather fun little mask that hopefully overtime produces better results. I’ve been using this for about two weeks but I haven’t quite noticed it diminishing my dark spots or evening out my skin tone. As for shrinking pores? I can’t say as my pores aren’t really visible! However, I will say it kinda acts like a chemical peel of sorts and you’ll definitely come out of the experience feeling smoother and softer! But first you’ll have to survive the mask…! Why? Because it does sting a little bit! I wouldn’t recommend this one for sensitive skin types. It’s meant to be applied and left on for ten minutes and washed off after. Personally I thought it felt warming with a tingle and sting through the wear. At one point I was uncomfortable enough that I wanted to wash it off right away but I stuck through it. My skin is fairly resilient so I felt comfortable trying it out several times without breaking out or causing any other issues. But fair warning, I think it could be a bit too much if you’re sensitive. It actually felt like a chemical peel to me.

Although I didn’t notice an improvement in dark spots (you’ll have to use it nearly six weeks to see this improvement according to Yes to Grapefruit studies), I did notice that it made my skin feel smoother and softer with some visible brightness that was short term. I have drier cheeks and some flakiness between my brows and the acidity of the product obviously attacked those areas and exfoliated them away!

The formula has a bright, sunny grapefruit scent with a runny gel consistency. As I mentioned above you’ll apply it on your face, wait 10 minutes, and rinse with cool water. After I felt a little too sensitive for moisturizer so I just misted my skin with a hydrating facial mist and went to bed!

Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection Brightening Peel is launching at drugstores now so keep your eyes peeled if you wanna give this one a whirl.

One of my new resolutions is to USE the masks I buy! I can sit around and study or watch tv while wearing a mask and whitening my teeth. #makingnewhabits #babystepstobeauty

Ooh, I’m intrigued! Once a week I like to use a peel-type mask followed by a pore strip on my nose to get a really deep clean; I’ve been using the Ren Glycolactic Mask for a while now, but it’s so pricy. Going to have to try this one and see if it’s a dupe at all!

Wow, $16 is pretty pricey for a drugstore mask. I’m intrigued by the 96% natural ingredients and the grapefruit smell. I wonder what’s causing the stinging? Maybe the citrus acids?

Hahaha is it funny that supernatural got me more excited than the actual review? LOVE THE SHOW!
