Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Love taupe? This little Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette is for you! I have to admit that I can’t readily pull off a traditional smoky black eye look anymore. With age comes dryness and dark circles which aren’t always flattering when you’re doing up a smoky eye look no matter how much you conceal. I always find that smoky, taupe-y shades are way easier to use than black and they produce the same sophisticated effect as if you were doing a traditional smoky eye!

This budget friendly palette contains four lovely shades of taupe in varying degrees of dark and light in both matte and shimmer finishes accompanied by two very nice creamy and beige blending shades. The colors are soft and silky with very no fall out during application and quite nice pigmentation. They are soft and they do tend to crumble a bit in the pan but this doesn’t translate as fall out so no worries there. I find the formula very easy to use for quick eye looks on the go but you do want to use a primer to ensure they don’t fade or wear off through the day as I saw a bit of fading and creasing when I was testing without an eyeshadow primer!

It’s one of the bh cosmetics Forever Nude Aqua Gloss! Review on the way!

7 bucks?! That’s CRAZY!! I love colors like this but my eyelids I think are more oily than yours Muse so when you mention creasing, that worries me a bit. Well, I guess I’ll have to give this a try.

Muse, can you think of a palette with similarly pigmented shades in the same color range (high OR low end)?

  • Mariella

Looks great on you, will look them up at Ulta. Love your lippie too, what is it?

    • Isabella Muse

oh thank you Mariella it’s one of the bh cosmetics Forever Nude Aqua Gloss! Review upcoming! 🙂

I absolutely looove taupe on you. It makes your eyes sparkle and pop. I thought that you didnt like taupe. Did you join us on the dark side??? 😀

    • Isabella Muse

haha I THINK I’m slowing joining the dark side Kate. Taupe works so much better for me than black! 😀

I like these colors on you!

When I saw the title I thought, “do I need another nude palette?” But I do, because this is taupe. I love taupe. Not sure if my ulta has these yet, but there’s always their website:)

      Dee,

Every time I see a neutral palette I say the same thing. I’ve come to this conclusion: why fight the inevitable. So yes, we do need another nude palette. ha ha

This is pretty, but i have like a million eyeshadows similar to these in my collection. Your lipstick is so great, i love it on you!

Off topic: I am getting surprisingly good results with Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl for Eyes. Although, I am not seeing dark circles in your photo! I received theRegenerist in a monthly box, and will probably repurchase it. You may find it a bit drying. I apply eye cream, once the Hyraswirl has dried.

I love these little palettes. I think the shadows are pigmented enough, but they aren’t dark. Each one is kind of a fool-proof easy to put together workday look. I appreciate that. I got this one and the Rose one and both are great. I think I got as a BOGO 50% at Ulta, so both were maybe $11. You can’t beat that with a stick 🙂

Yay stacy! I felt the same. They are really easy and quick to use plus cheap!
