Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Review & Swatches

I decided I wanted a new Fall lipstick shade so I purchased Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Advanced Hydrating Lipstick in Sienna Ultime. So yeah, I totally have a ton of Fall lipstick colors already but when the season rolls around I just feel like I need every single shade of nude, orange, burnt orange, copper, and brown based lipstick in the entire makeup universe.

I recently went to Nordstom to get the new La Vie est Belle Eau de Parfum Intense but sadly they didn’t have it but of course, I couldn’t leave without looking at the lipsticks and that’s when Sienna Ultime decided it needed to come home with me.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge is a formula that’s always had outstanding performance. Creamy color, a delicate rose flavor and fragrance, an SPF 12, and a moist, hydrating formula that wears for four to five hours makes this a wonderfully formulated lipstick. These have such a comfortable feel on my lips with a very nice bit of moisture and an easy glide during application.

But I digress as I really want to rave the shade I choose.

Sienna Ultime is a coppery coral sienna with a hint of a metallic sheen on my lips with an orange-y undertone. In sunlight it almost has a golden sparkle towards the middle of my lips! The color reminds me of Fall foliage, the leaves just turning, that bite of coolness in the air! It’s the perfect Fall color to me and works beautifully with a nude, natural eye (I paired it up below with a nice natural eyeshadow from the Lancome Auda[City] Eyeshadow Palette) or a smoky brown eye!

If you’re shopping Fall lipsticks I’d highly recommend Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Advanced Hydrating Lipstick in Sienna Ultime! Excellent formula but most important a very beautiful autumn shade.
