Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror

The Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror Collection is back in stock at Sephora.com! Yay! If you haven’t already seen the new Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror you’re bound to fall in love with this cute little Disney Princess inspired mirrors!

I got my Disney Mirrors the day they launched by calling Downtown Disney and they were kinda enough to ship them to me! This was great because they sold out within minutes of them launching on Sephora’s site.

There are six total mirrors featuring Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Now this isn’t the first time that Sephora has collaborated with Disney as they did launch a Disney Princess Makeup Collection that featured a Little Mermaid Ariel Collection, a Jasmine Aladdin Collection, and a Cindrella Collection about three years ago and that collection also featured compact mirrors.

If I’m at all right I imagine we’ll see more collaborations from Sephora and Disney in the future! Cross your fingers for that.

For now let’s take a look at the new Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror.

The Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror Collection launched on September 15th and quickly sold out. I could be completely crazy but it feels like they had a soft launch for these last week just to create a really strong buzz and get people excited. Now that a little of the buzz has died down the mirrors are back in stock and completely available.

Now these are a limited edition collection but from what I’m hearing they will be around until March but don’t quote me on that because it is unconfirmed information.

These mirrors are $32 each versus the $20 price tag from three years ago so yeah, that’s a pretty big jump. However, I will say they are actually worth the $32 because they are a very weighty, well made mirror. But yeah, $20 to $32 is a huge price increase but it’s also been a few years and we all know prices rise with time.

Each mirror comes housed in a pretty box done up in the colors of each Princess. For example Elsa and Anna’s is done in icy blues where as Belle’s comes housed in a bright yellow box just like her fancy ball gown. The back of the box has a silhouette of each character and the front features a clear window which displays the mirror. Don’t get me wrong the box is really cute but it isn’t quite fitting with the glamorous mirror it houses. I’ll also be the first one to complain about the lack of a case or some sort of velvet pouch to store the mirror after its been removed from the box.

Now each mirror is quite lovely with a gorgeous silver scrolling overlay giving the mirror a framing for the silhouette of each Princess. The scroll overlay gives the mirror extra dimension and a dual layer of sorts which frames a colored image of each Princess. Honestly, the mirror has such a luxury feel it almost feels like something that was purchased at Tiffany’s so you are getting bang for your buck. Inside the compact you have a regular mirror and a magnified one and in the back of the mirror there’s a little saying. Belle’s mirror says, “Let Your Inner Princess Shine”, Elsa and Anna’s mirror says, “Strong Bond, Strong Heart”, Cinderella’s mirror says, “The Right Shoe Transforms Your Life”, Ariel’s mirror says, “Go with the flow”, Aurora’s mirror says, “A girl needs her beauty rest”, and Snow White’s mirror says, “Still the fairest”.

I’ve always been a Beast and the Beast fan because Belle and I are so much alike plus we almost share the same name so that’s my favorite mirror in this collection! But I couldn’t resist and I did indeed order all of them.

Whether you’re a Disney fan or you just like pretty little baubles or maybe you want a lovely little gift for someone special in your life the Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror Collection is a nice little limited edition collection worth exploring!

The Sephora Disney Reigning Beauties Compact Mirror is available now at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I had to limit myself to two and finally settled on Ariel and Cinderella after contemplating for an hour (couldn’t resist the aqua blue on ariel and the clock design on cinderella). What’s your ranking on the different princess compacts? I’m assuming Belle would be your top favorite out of all these 😛

    • Isabella Muse

      Hmm good question Erica!
      Belle
      Cinderella
      Ariel
      Aurora
      Snow White
      Elsa and Anna

      🙂

These are just so beautiful and detailed, and for how much they cost it’s a complete bargain!

I know Sephora can post these to the UK, but it’s just a shame they’re not as easy to pick up as I would buy the Ariel and Snow White ones. 🙂

Thank you for the review!!! I broke down and purchased one yesterday and was feeling guilty for spending the money (I’m trying to save to GET to Disneyland – and I had a big day at Sephora yesterday, ordering the new lipstick and mascara “Favorite” boxes) but now I feel a lot better. And glad to hear they have dual mirror size for my 40-something eyes!

I am hoping for more Disney collabs too! That’d be awesome!!!

oh, I ordered Ariel – I love the color and how she is looking out to the sea…. Next one I want…Belle!

  • Catherine

I just received the new Bare Minerals mirror with the loose foundation holiday set. Both are so beautiful!! I ordered Ariel, and can’t wait to get it.

It really is a hefty increase. Granted everything goes up in price every year, but its usually no more than a couple $$. Not $15 like these mirrors, I think they’re just being greedy because of the commotion that came about from the first release. I was lucky and got all three of those, still have them in the box. I can’t bring myself to use them lol

Thanks to your original post I knew about these before my trip to Disneyland (got home a few days ago). They had every compact except Ariel when I saw them initially but the store was closed. The display was by the door so I could see what they had and by the time I got there the next day they were out of Belle as well. I bought the other two I wanted, Anna & Elsa and Aurora. They told me they would be happy to ship them if I called and if you’re Rouge (I am) just mention that and they’ll ship them for free, otherwise it’s $5.

These are for Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration (that’s why they all have a diamond on the bottom center of the design) so they should be available until March when the celebration ends. The sales associates did tell me that they have been continuing to get shipments and don’t expect them to stop any time soon. They come in three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (if I’m not mistaken) This is also the reason why the only physical store they’re available in is California’s Downtown Disney Sephora branch. These will not come to other stores. This launch is limited to this anniversary (Disneyland’s 60th).

Forgot to mention when these went live on the site again I bought the Ariel and Belle. Those two have been selling faster than any other princesses, even better than Cinderella and Frozen. In fact when the DD display was demolished Frozen and Cinderella were the only designs left! These sell out fast so don’t wait, especially if you want Belle or Ariel!!!!

    • Isabella Muse

My pleasure! 🙂 That’s how I got the mirrors, I posted about it last week. I just called and they kindly shipped them my way yeah! I wasn’t sure if the March rumor was true! Thanks for the deets!

  • Susan K

Could you tell me the color backround on Snow White and Aurora? It looks like red and purple to me but hard to tell. Thanks!

    • Isabella Muse

Aurora’s background is a deep pink and purple, kinda like a dusky sky. Snow mirror is a red ombre that bleeds into a cream towards the bottom of her silhouette.

  • Christina

Pretty but way too expensive for me. Definitely not spending that much for a little mirror lol.

  • Ruth

I picked up Aurora-she’s my favorite! Maybe 12 or 13 years ago I was at Disneyland and met Aurora and cried. I was 26 or 27, and cried meeting a Disney princess. That’s how much she’s my favorite. It’s kinda of embarrassing.

    • Isabella Muse

Who cares? 🙂 I think that’s cute! Sometimes we all get a little teary eyed at Disney 😀

  • Ann Valero

Thank you, Muse, for the heads up on ordering directly through Sephora at Downtown Disney. I am super excited that I was able to order the Belle and Ariel compacts. I would have never found out about this option if it wasn’t for you. Thank you!

    • Isabella Muse

oh you’re very welcome. Also if you’re a rouge member shipping should be free just a heads up!

I think I’ve seen one of these lying around a Disney Store in California before we went to Disneyland. The place was a mess cause it’s around Christmas time and there’s a long line for the cashier. I didn’t see the price though and I think it was Cinderella that I saw, IT WAS SO GORGEOUS OMG I SHOULD’VE GOTTEN IT
