Tarte At First Blush Set

I’m busy testing out the Tarte At First Blush Deluxe Amazonian Clay Blush Set this week that launched with the Tarte Holiday 2015 Collection. I just wanted to quickly swatch these little guys because out of all the Tarte Holiday Gift Sets it seems the Amazonian Clay Blush Set is always the set that gets the most love and fan’s of the brand are always the most excited about it.

Let’s take a look!

Tarte At First Blush6

The Tarte At First Blush includes four shades of limited edition Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush (0.05 oz each) in the following shades:

  • Ecstatic (nude melon)
  • Epic (poppy pink)
  • Embellish (plum rose)
  • Entertain (rosy pink)

Tarte At First Blush Gift Set

This is always one of my favorite sets and I notice that this along with the blush palette Tarte launches every year seems to be the two sets that sell out the fastest!

There are some lovely little shades in this set like Embellish which I’m wearing in my Lorac Mega Pro 2 review today! This is a warmer plummy rose that applies with a nice peachy warmth to my cheeks!

These shades a bit denser than your normal Amazonian Clay Blushes but still provide beautiful color to cheeks.

I’ll be reviewing the set entirely shortly so stay tuned.

You can get the Tarte At First Blush Set at tartecosmetics.com or Ulta.com for $35.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. hi muse!

do you know dupe for Tarte Blush in Honored? It’s part of the tarte holiday blush set maybe 2 years ago. I love the color but so sad when it finally hit pan and I can’t find the dupe (it’s LE).
I think i am gonna pass this year’s set because I don’t want to love it and then when it hit pan i would be so sad , LoL

I’m not sure Angie, I don’t have that shade in front of me at the moment but I’ll look when I get home!

  • Katherine T.

This reminds me of last years’ Chic to Cheek set, which I love and use several times a week, still haven’t made a dent in them. My fave was Prim from that set, a nude peachy brown color. This set seems to have less variation in shade

It somehow feels as if these shades are all in the same color family. I wouldve preferred if they had one pink, one peachy coral shade, a plum shade and possibly a muted nude-brown shade. Last years was nicer, I would buy the palettes but I bought pin up girl last year and I felt it wasnt nearly as pigmented as the ones sold individually.

Will you be collecting the new deluxe “party of four” set? Tartes website and instagram just posted and I’m dying to collect even though I already bought the at first blush set already..

    • Isabella Muse

Hm! I don’t even know about it Sydney is it launching here in the US.

Check the tarte website. There’s an option for either “at first blush” or “party of four set”.

party of four: sincere (golden mauve), supreme (melon), surprised (cool rose), stellar (peachy pink)

Gahhh the excitement! This is now on my Christmas list. Anywho, I just want to also say that I love your site and I always come here to look at your review swatches pictures and they always get me excited about makeup. Continue what you’re doing love!
