Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

If Urban Decay should get recognition for anything at all it would be for killer packaging! Vice 4 isn’t going to win everyone’s heart because many of the shades contain micro glitter but for packaging alone it gets my happy approval. The slim case has a web of brown down facets layer over a black lid with a striking shattered appearance. It also has a coordinating makeup bag you can store the palette in as well as a double-ended shadow and crease brush.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I only like about a third to half of the colors, but those three greens/teals alone will likely sell me. Plus I am almost to 2,000 Ulta points and will be able to get it for free so it will be hard to say no!

Now I just have to hope that another eyeliner set is still to come; even though I probably have 50 different UD eyeliners, I always have to have them all!

    • Isabella Muse

Don’t worry, this is only a preview of what’s to come! I know they’ll do some sort of sets come the Holiday 🙂

    • Haley B

I am really hoping for another liner set as well. I love the Ocho Loco 2 and the Ten liner set from last year. I love their liners too!

  • elicaroline

Wow! I’m really impressed. I was drawn to the shadow Flame originally, but after seeing swatches – I can see a lot of different, wearable looks from this palette.

  • Caroline

I wasn’t sure if they were going to do another Vice palette this year, but I’m happy they are so I can add to my collection! This one looks beautiful; I’m really excited about Flame and Bitter – those shades look gorgeous!!

  • Jennifer B

Oh, I am soooooo grabbing this one. First, I collect these, so I would not want to miss it. But what really gets me ate those colors! The green, teal, pink and blue….

I’m so getting this ,several of those shades have my attention ,loving beatdown .do youknow the release date for Ulta and Sephora ?

    • Isabella Muse

Likely two weeks as that’s the typical normal for UD releases so around 22-23rd-ish! Online that is, in stores I’d say soon after!

    • Isabella Muse

yes, sorry Rachel I somehow forgot to swatch it duh! I’ll update shortly!

  • Karen M

Out of all the new palettes I’ve seen so far this one is coming home with me 🙂 Love that I will only need one palette to complete many different looks!

  • Valerie

Not sure if I like the eye shadows that have chunky glitters in them but at least there are a few good mattes here. I think there is another palette that looks like the 15th anniversary palette is coming too. Hope that does not disappoint!

  • Jackie

Well, I’ll probably get one…I got a backup of Vice3 because there are some fabulous shades in it that would go into my fantasy version of a Naked palette. I hate that they are gone now & aren’t all being made into singles! This one has enough that I can justify spending on it.
I love these because the shadows are high quality & aren’t just some junk palette made cheaply then have the UD packaging…they are very much worth collecting while you can get them!

    • Isabella Muse

I think the original is the truest form of UD’s quality and formula. Which each release it seems the formula loses some of its greatness!

  • Kris

Low (you have it misnamed as Slow in the swatch) looks nothing like it does in the pan!

Some really pretty colors. I think I need to make room for this one in my palette collection.

  • Rachel R.

Between this and the Spectrum palette, my wallet will be crying. I must have them both, though. It’s so nice to see some brights again.

  • Nataile Brown

There’s some nice shades here but the Spectrum palette has my heart. Thank-you for the swatches!

  • Phyrra

Some of the colors are super gorgeous, like Arctic, Fast-Ball, 1985, but there are soooo many neutrals in it!
