Visee CC Watery Foundation Review & Swatches

Visee CC Watery Foundation

Visee CC Watery Foundation is a new fluid foundation available in Japan that launched with the Visee Summer 2015 Collection. Apparently it’s formulated as a five in one foundation product that acts as an essence, emulsion, base, foundation, and sun protector (SPF 30).

And yeah that’s a lot of stuff going on! Don’t you love when you actually find a product that promises to do like ten different things including walking the dog and doing the dishes that actually works! Oh wait, products like that don’t exist.

And Visee CC Watery Foundation isn’t one.

Considering fluid foundations are huge at the moment both in the US and Asia I think the Visee CC Watery Foundation is right on trend in terms of formula and texture.

This comes in a very annoying glass bottle. Visually it’s quite pretty but this morning I was fuddling around in the bathroom putting on my makeup and I dropped my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and it cracked and spilled EVERYWHERE. So word to the wise as pretty as the bottle is do beware as these shatter if you by chance drop them. On that note, I wouldn’t say the glass is the annoying part! The annoying part is the fact they don’t give you a dropper like many fluid foundations have much like you’ve seen in other foundations like such as MAC Studio Waterweight Foundation nor do they give you a pump. The bottle has a small opening at the mouth that’s quite messy to get the foundation out of as you have to tip and pour it which results in too little or too much flowing from the tiny hole. A dropper or a pump would have been much less messy!

This is quite a lovely spot on fluid formula that offers sheer to medium coverage that creates a very smooth finish on skin with a skin-like finish. Unfortunately, the shade selection is a lacking! I believe it is available in four shades and I hauled the OC-410. Sadly, the shade is way too light for me so I had to mix it with another foundation so I didn’t look all pasty and ghost-like. I love the formula though! It’s quite lightweight and it feels and looks very natural on skin. The finish is soft, smooth, and neither matte nor satiny but a cross between the two that doesn’t adhere to my drier areas. I do wish it was a touch more hydrating but none the less it still feels and looks amazing on.

Now…

As far as I’m concerned it’s a one trick pony. I wouldn’t say it’s hydrating enough to act as either an essence or an emulsion which it promises! As a base or a primer, well no, I still need primer before I apply this. And the sun protection is fair enough but I like something a touch higher myself. So as a fluid foundation it rocks but I wouldn’t call it a five in one formula that acts like a skincare and primer all in one.

Visee CC Watery Foundation is a lovely little fluid foundation product if you fit into its limited shade selection. This is a true fluid foundation with excellent pigmentation, a solid wear of seven hours, and one that looks and feels very natural and light on skin. It’s a model for why fluid foundations are so awesome!

Worth a try if you can find a shade that’s suitable for your skin tone!

What standard foundation shade are you? I’m super pale and this might actually work for me.

I’m not really sure as I don’t use mac but I think i’m an NC 25 and in BB Creams I’m typically a shade 2.
