A Quick and Simple Halloween Look

If you know anything at all about me you know I love Halloween. It’s my favorite time of the year! Well, Fall in general is such a beautiful time of the year! I was born in the Fall so it’s totally my season.

Now I also happen to love all the colors that come along with the Halloween holiday and the Fall season. Oranges, browns, beautiful hues of red and yellow are not only ideal shades of the season but also great ones for your eyes.

I created a very quick and simple Halloween look below that anyone can do with a few simple steps (plus it’s perfect for Fall looks too!)

Take a look!

So I’m not a great makeup artist. There are many, many gurus and bloggers that do a far better job of “making up” than I could ever hope to do or accomplish. So for my Halloween look I wanted to create something simple, easy to do, and quick to get together.

As I mentioned above I was totally inspired by shades of the season so for my look I used orange and brown!

You’ll need three eyeshadows for this look and those would include a bright orange, a darker brown, and either a glittery orange shade or some cosmetic (eye safe) orange glitter.

Many of the brushes I used in this “How To” can also be found in the Ecotools Essentials Eye Set which is $7.99 and includes five essential eye brushes to recreate this look including an eyeshadow brush, blending brush, and more!

Step 1: Ecotools provided me with some great budget brushes to do my look so to start my look I used the Eye Enhancing Duo Set which included two double-ended brushes for eyes. Using the flat eyeshadow brush from this set I apply Urban Decay Bitter from the Vice 4 Eyeshadow Palette all over my lid. This is my ideal “burnt orange” shade to start my look. The color plays up and compliments the brown shade I used to accent my look. I applied the shade onto my lid and blended it up into my crease using the reverse side of the brush. This is a handy little brush as one end allows you to apply shadow and the other has a smaller blending brush you can use to blend out any harsher edges.

Step 2 and 3: Although it’s created for concealing I actually used the Ecotools Airbrush Concealer Brush at the outer v of my eye to apply Urban Decay Delete, also from the Vice 4 Palette. I just gently created outlined a v on the outer edge of my lid and proceeded to blend out with the Ecotools Blending Brush. Bitter and Delete blend very easily together and compliment each other perfectly in this look. Orange and brown are two shades that always work really well together but also they tend to blend easily as well so if you’re not an expert at blending (which I’m not) these are two great shades to use.

Step 4: To complete my look I used Ecotools Full Eye Shadow Brush to gently pat a little of Urban Decay Flame Eyeshadow onto my lid to add a hint of shimmer to complete the look!

I don’t think I have ever seen you do a post like this! I love it! You should do more of them I do enjoy a simple tutorial with just a few products. Great post dear! This is beautiful on you.

aw thanks Brooke! I’m not really good at the tutorial thing in all honesty! but you’re lovely to say so 🙂 xoxoxoxo!

i really like this post as well. sometimes makeup tutorials can get overwhelming for me because of the amount of products and brushes used, but you keep it simple and its much easier for those of us who aren’t makeup gurus but still want to spice it up occasionally. so thanks muse!

aw thanks Morgane! I love how simple makeup tutorials are but so many products are used I sometimes get overwhelmed 😀 and when I try to duplicate the look, well, it doesn’t turn out well lol!

I have like 15 of those Duo Ended Eco Tool Eye Brushes, and they are great! Good quality and super cheap ($5 for the set, less if you get BOGO 50% off) . I’ve been using these daily for 2 years, wash the brushes every night, they’ve never shed a hair, and look almost brand new. BTW, love your eye look!

Oh, and sometimes simple is good Muse ! In the mornings, I don’t have time to blend out 5 different shadows with 10 brushes, like some of those You Tube tutorials. A simple but pretty eye look will get me out the door in time and looking good for work ! I save the more elaborate looks for weekends

aw thanks Katherine, happy to hear that. Likewise! Sometimes I just want something easy and quick! 😀
