Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Movie Night Perfume Oil Review

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Movie Night Perfume Oil

Ah movie night. I don’t think I ever told you my obsession with film. I love movies. Indie ones, Bollywood ones, foreign ones, horror ones, you name it, I love it. I’m looking forward to seeing Crimson Peak this weekend! Film and books have always been a major part of my geeky lifestyle. I love just about everything about them but the fact you can enjoy them not only in a theater but the comfort of your own home is always a plus. There is absolutely nothing like sitting snuggled on a couch on a cold or rainy night with my best friend and watching some new adventure unfold or even rewatching an older movie I’ve seen a dozen times.

What scent evokes the spirit of watching a film? Microwave popcorn, perhaps some sort of candy (licorice for me), and of course, the comfy snuggle cotton of your favorite blanket!

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Movie Night Perfume Oil captures the essence and spirit of movie night with this new, limited edition perfume!

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Movie Night Perfume Oil is one of Lilith’s Birthday oils. Elizabeth and Ted run and operate the Lab together and Lilith is their daughter. This scent is a father’s interpretation of movie night!

“When I was younger, my life was one huge, fast merry-go-round of bars and dance clubs but I have found that there is nothing better that a lazy evening of a movie and popcorn with my best friend and her Dog Mom Wednesday.

My life is full of love and my belly is full of popcorn. What could be better?

Popcorn and jelly beans.”-Ted.

I totally can relate to the feeling. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have time to breath. Pulled in so many different directions of life and busy in all of them. It’s nice to sit on the couch and just get lost in a great film sometimes and of course, to fill my belly up with hot buttery popcorn and candy isn’t half bad either.

In the bottle, to me, this smells like red licorice with buttery back note. I’ve heard it described as buttery popcorn at first sniff but I don’t get that at all! I smell the popcorn but I feel like the jelly beans or as my nose smells it, licorice, is prominent at first sniff.

Applied wet the red licorice note remains but there’s much more popcorn now. Funny but it almost smells like Boo Berry Cereal as it begins to dry down. But as it sets further I feel like the popcorn note becomes more stronger. But it isn’t a popcorn scent you need to be ashamed of wearing (hey, I don’t mind smell like popcorn myself but I know some folks aren’t keen!) as it is has a warm, comforting feel to it and it almost smells cakey or oat-like. The jelly beans or licorice are still there but it’s more of a back note now!

I like this one. It reminds me of a movie theater more than anything else…when you’re at a theater you definitely get a popcorn note but it’s also combined with notes of candy, ice cream, cherry icees, etc…so you kinda get all that in this fragrance with a warm, buttery base of salty popcorn.

Yum!

For those that like foody, unique fragrances I’m sure you’ll love Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Movie Night Perfume Oil!
