Burt's Bees Mint Cocoa Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees Mint Cocoa Lip Balm is a new limited edition Holiday 2015 flavored lip balm that tastes like mint flavored hot chocolate. Well, no, not really, actually this comes to mind:

I remember when I was growing getting Tootsie Rolls as a Halloween treat (or Smarties) was the kiss of death. We all wanted Snickers, Kit Kats, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, but Tootsie Rolls? So boring!

Needless to say it all worked out because my sister’s favorite candy was Tootsie Rolls so I could just shove them all off on her.

Fast forward years later and now I love Tootsie Rolls as much as she does. Lord knows it’s not real chocolate but it still has such a tasty, chew consistency that’s quite delicious! I guess you have to get older to appreciate them. I know that the jingle is one that sticks in your head and can’t be forgotten! Total ear worm!

Anyway, I’m telling you all this because the new Burt’s Bees Mint Cocoa Lip Balm tastes as yummy and delicious as Tootsie Rolls. I don’t get much minty freshness from this formula but it does have a delightful rich chocolate-y flavor that’s positively addicting. I have to be careful I don’t take a bite as I’m applying it. Unlike Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice this has a less dense consistency and has a softer application and feel on lips that provides light moisture and even acts nicely as a prep for lipsticks!

I’m obsessed with flavor lip balms and Burt’s Bees Mint Cocoa Lip Balm gets me my fix sans calories!

Works for me!

Burt’s Bees Mint Cocoa Lip Balm is available now at drugstores or Ulta.com.

I just bought my third one today. I hear they are LE so I gotta stock up. It kind of reminds me of Thin Mints.

oh no! I wish it reminded me of thin mints! It reminds me more of tootsie rolls! I purchased three myself! Two for my sister’s stocking and one more for me heeh!

If you haven’t already, be sure to try the Demeter Tootsie Roll perfume…short lasting, but spot on! :0)

OMG, I knew you would! Off topic, but I am not in love with this year’s Philosophy black and white holiday motif…your thoughts?

        • Isabella Muse

haha 🙂 I’m not either. Philosophy has been long off its game. It’s been a good three to four years since they went all out for the Holidays. Right now it’s a lot of endless reruns each year and nothing new with absolutely no thought on packaging. That saddens me as I tend to love their Holiday offerings!

Okay, I just didn’t want to be the only bitter one! Maybe Coty will surprise us next year?!

          • Isabella Muse

I doubt it. Philosophy still has excellent skincare (that occasionally can be hit or miss) but there LE offerings have really dwindled. It’s a brand that I rarely even post about anymore and that saddens me. You aren’t bitter at all, it’s just a lot of change with the brand and not always for the better :-/

I’m disappointed, Miss Muse. =( I thought it was minty as well. I love minty chocolates as much as I love dark chocolates.
