Ole Henriksen Balancing Cucumber Tonic

Ok, I admit it, I have this weird addiction to skincare in a mist formula. I don’t mean facial mists because people, that’s a whole other addiction with me. But like mist essences or lotions and toners, lawd, these are my downfalls. Maybe because mist anything just seems so much easier to use? Or just misting stuff on your face is awesome?

Who knows really? Not every fetish is explainable.

My latest obsession is Ole Henriksen Balancing Cucumber Tonic which is an alcohol-free spray on facial toner!

I do in fact use toner as well as facial spray. Toner just really helps balance out my skin after I cleanse it also happens to be great for softening it and prepping it for makeup so yes, I tone and you should too. Just a friendly reminder from your neighborhood skincare junkie.

And you should be toning with a toner in a mist! OMG all the coolness.

Ole Henriksen Balancing Cucumber Tonic comes in bottle with a pump for misting a fine layer on skin or you can be boring and mist some onto a cotton pad. This is a daily toner that has witch hazel which is always a plus for your skin. Witch hazel is great if you’re blemish prone, if you have redness, or even dry, itchy skin. It’s a great tool for using after cleansing as it’ll swipe any left over makeup your cleanser might have left behind. This also contains cucumber to tighten pores as well as chamomile to soften skin. It doesn’t have a soothing cucumber lavender fragrance that I find very pleasant but sensitive users might not love it.

Typically I wash my face in the evening and I apply this all over my face by misting directly from the bottle. I mist a bit more onto a cotton pad and swipe that over my skin a second time!

The mist preps my skin for moisturizer by adding a little more hydration to my skin so my moisturizer sinks in more easily. It also gives me a little bit more of a deeper cleanse as I find using it after cleansing removes any excess makeup that my cleansing oil or facial cleanser may have left behind!

So get toning people!

And better yet getting toning with a spray mist formula as it makes your skincare life so much easier.

I love this mist. I kept it in the refrigerator this summer, and used it as a cooling, hydrating, almost light moisturizer. I have sensitive skin, and so far, so good.

I love Ole’s products. Been wanting to give this a try because I love mists. Thanks for the push, Muse!

Does this make anyone skin tingly and heating sensation.? I have just got this and gave it ago that’s what’s happening to my skin. I have sensitive skin. and I’m getting married so I don’t want my skin to react

Yes, it does. I’ve been using it for a while (half way through the bottle). The after effects do make me feel a little hot/burning sensation and sometimes my skin looks red too. At first I thought I was rubbing my face too hard but no matter what I do or how I do it, if I used it twice (usual routine) or more (3-4 times max due to stubborn makeup residue), I still get that reaction. It does go away after I put lotion on or splash some cold water after using the toner.
NEVER buying this again but I do love the other products.
