Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set1

Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set ($21) is a new, limited edition Tarte Holiday 2015 set that contains four deluxe sized Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipsticks. If you recall Tarte introduced the Amazonian Butter Lipstick in the Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty QVC Set back in 2013 and since that time I’ve been a fan of these little lightweight balm lipsticks so I love the idea I can get four in one set.

Take a peek!

The Tarte Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set comes with four deluxe sized shades of 0.035 oz each. I was a little worried at the smaller size as I was scared that there would be breakage but I had absolutely no issues and the lipsticks are a great little size for traveling as they take up absolutely no room in my makeup bag.

I almost always feel like these are an MLBB (my lips but better) kinda lipstick with a hybrid formula that’s part balm, part sheer lipstick. These come housed in festive little gold, silver, and rose gold cardboard casings that match up with other pieces from Tarte’s Holiday 2015 Collection like the Tarte Greatest Glitz Collectors Set & Portable Palettes.

Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set (Bellini, Punch, Mimosa, Sangria)

This is a nice set if you wanna extend your little family of Amazonain Butter Lipsticks as this includes four limited edition shades in: Sangria (berry red), Punch (mauve pink), Mimosa (peachy nude), and Bellini (golden pink).

These are formulated with a mint taste and flavor that could be potentially irritating to sensitive users but to me it kinda tastes like a pleasant tasting gum or candy. Butter can be misleading here as it implies no pigment to me but these have a nice hint of tint especially Sangria which is the most pigmented shade in the foursome. I find the texture weightless on my lips with an easy glide that feels buttery and lightly hydrating.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Yay 🙂 Hi back!

I’m so silly. I had a mini haul today from Ulta and guess what was in there? I completely forgot I ordered these a couple of weeks ago during the 3x points (or something that they did). Also got some Soap & Glory products…

Anyway, the colors of the lipsticks are really pretty, can’t wait to try them. They are so teeeeeeeeny! hehe.

I loved this set! I remember going online to review it and people were getting super pissy because they thought they were getti g full-sized lippies. Listen, I’ve been victim of Sephora mislabeling items before, but I saw these as soon as they launched and nothing ever said they were going to be full-size. People just didn’t read and wanted to blame someone else.

I read those reviews too! It’s obvious they aren’t full size in promo images in my opinion. You have to read things super carefully as something looks big but likely isn’t so no idea why people are putting up poor reviews “due to size” that’s their fault not the brands. Do your research *rolls eyes*

3 of mine broke within the first few applications. The only reason the 4th hasn’t broken is because I only use a brush to apply it now. Disappointed with the size, price and quality. Forgot the exact price – but I think I paid close to $40, which is considerably more than the US.

The only pro was the color range.

This has put me off purchasing any more of their range.

oh wow sorry Jane that’s horrible! You should contact Tarte! I’m sure they would be willing to replace!
