Considering the Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Creme permanent collection is only made up of four shades (with a variety of LE shades floating around from past gift sets on QVC) this is a great way to get more of the formula and who wouldn’t want more shades as, for one, love the lip creme formula! You likely remember my review of the Tarte Bow & Go Lipsurgence Lip Cremes from Tarte Holiday 2014 as this was the first time I actually tried and fell in love with the formula.

The formula of the lip cremes is much like the Matte Lip Tints but with a much more creamier, pigmented formula. For me, the texture and consistency is quite thick and the heaviest in the Lipsurgence family but not uncomfortable to wear in the least. They have the customary peppermint fragrance and flavor that’s pleasant to my mouth without a tingle.

These glide on beautifully and easily and wear for a solid four to five hours without fading and some shades leave a staining effect behind. The formula never tugs during application and you can get solid opaque color on a single swipe.

There are some very unique shades in this set and I hope Tarte might considering making them into full permanent size at some point. Pizzazz sticks out the most for me as this is a lovely cherry shade of red with a vibrant color pay off and a beautiful staining effect that it leaves behind after it fades. It wears for a solid six hours without feathering, losing intensity, or migrating. A majority of the shades have excellent wear but Pizzazz really sticks out as a wonderfully formulated lip creme with an excellent formula and pigmentation.

The Tarte Dressed to the Nines Lipsurgence Lip Creme Gift Set is really a no brainer purchase if you’re a lip girl or guy. This contains nine fabulously wearable shades with excellent pigment. If you never tried the Lipsurgence Lip Creme formula I think you’re in for a treat as this formula is nothing in the Lipsurgence family with provides the most pigment and longest wear in from all the Lipsurgence formulas! This set gifts you with quite a few shades and it’ll make a great gift as well that can easily be broken up and gift to three friends or family members!

Loves it!

I agree, you do look great in all of them! I am getting this but I will be getting rid of a few shades. You look great in pizzazz but for me bright red doesn’t really work unless I’m doing the vampire thing lol. I am really super fair with grey eyes and red doesn’t usually work for me, especially as a lipstick. I do plan on trying the red liptint in the lips for daze set. I might be able to handle a smidgen of red. I agree, that one is really pigmented. Thanks for the swatches and the review. I had debated also.

i received my set yesterday.i loved the colors but i’m a little disappointed in their staying power and how they transfer onto to everything that gets in contact with lips=(
i was expection a more lipstick kind of texture=/

does anyone have a similar problem with these lip creams?
