The Sephora 20% Holiday Shopping Event starts on November 6th and fragrance might just be on your wish list so here are 5 Fragrances worth a haul during Sephora’s sale!
The best part about Sephora’s sale is the fact they give you 20% off your total order with absolutely no exclusions and that includes high end fragrances. Believe me when a perfume is costing you $80 to a $100 that 20% off comes in handy.

I always try to take advantage of fragrance during the sale as it’s one of the more expensive things on my wish list. So I stock up on my favorites that might be running low or I take time out to grab something new like the just now available at Sephora, Histories de Parfums.

Guerlain Shalimar
I’m always sad when people tell me they haven’t smelled Shalimar or they are scared of it because it sounds heavy, cloying, and old lady-like. I understand! I avoided it for those same reasons but one day I took the plunge and tried it. And ever after we fell in love and lived happily ever after. Shalimar is the quintessential oriental perfume for me. It’s done in such a way that it smells almost like a very expensive face powder with a heavy base of sweet, warming vanilla wrapped in touches of amber, powder, and iris. If it seems too strong I’d highly recommend the toillete which has the same notes as the perfume but with a softer more delicate touch. Believe me this one will get your compliments and if at first mist you aren’t exactly thrilled with it, well, give it a chance because as it sets and dries down it becomes incredibly addicting.

Chanel Allure
Ah Allure! Way too overlooked a fragrance in Chanel’s fragrance line in my opinion! Sheer yet warm yet clean yet incredibly sexy! Allure falls in the white floral range but it has a slight citrus-y twist and a hint of sweetness that makes it oh so wearable. It’s light yet refreshingly obvious. A most different and unexpected fragrance for Chanel. Try it, bet you’ll love it!

Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet
I happen to have a love hate relationship with Miss Cherie myself! Sometimes I adore it, other times I feel it is a bit too strong but Blooming Bouquet is neither. If you aren’t convinced you love Miss Cherie I urge you to try Blooming Bouquet. With notes of Sicilian orange that’s tangled up with delicate pink peony and rose followed by a warm musk this fragrance is light, flirty, and feminine with a bit of a sparkle that makes it irresistible!

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire
You’re either a La Petite Robe groupie or you aren’t and you either think of it as the ultimate gourmand or you don’t but whichever side you’re on you’re sure to gradually fall in love or possibly list with La Petite Robe Noire. This one is strong but modern with a twist of almond on a bed of sweet, fruity notes with the gentle trail of spiciness in the background! It takes a second to grow on you but once it does consider yourself addicted!

Lancome La Vie Est Belle
The nice thing about La Vie Est Belle is the fact that you can get it at such a value price in gift sets around this time of the year! La Vie Est Belle, for me, is a dupe of Dior’s Miss Cherie but it comes across as more of a truer gourmand with a lighter less intrusive linger and throw when compared to Miss Cherie. Although both fragrances have patchouli it’s a lot lighter and easier to wear in Lancome’s juice and the touches of sweetness, fruit, and powdery vanilla give this fragrance a more “fun” feel. If you thought La Vie Est Belle was all about roses, it’s not! This is a sweet gourmand with a sophisticated edge.

BONUS!

Don’t forget about great sample sets, larger perfume sets, and coffret that include your favorite fragrances. Not only are they discounted a few dollars with generously sized fragrances but you’ll also get matching shower gels and lotions in the gift set.

Earlier this Summer, Sephora started carrying the Juliette Has a Gun fragrance collection and if you never tried the line now would be a good time to indulge in their Juliette Has a Gun Discovery Kit which is a mere $15. But don’t wait for the sale to get it! If you’re a Sephora Flash Member get it now, try the fragrances out, and haul a larger size during the sale! The set has all the fragrances offered in the line (8 total) in 0.06 oz sizes so you can sample ’em out and see which is worth committing too!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

YSL Black Opium! I loathe the original Opium, but have been working my way through the purse spray size of Black Opium over the last few months and love it. Very similar to La Vie Est Belle/Dior Cherie/Flowerbomb, but with a little hint of bitterness from coffee that makes it more unique.

There’s a gift set at Sephora with a full size bottle and a purse spray that is definitely on my wish list!

I’ve been meaning to pick this up! I tried it at Neiman Marcus and at first hated it but I walked around the mall for an hour or two and in that time it really grew on me!

Blooming Bouquet is my current most-worn fragrance, I love it. I still have quite a bit left, so I plan on buying the accompanying lotion during either the VIB sale or with the coupon they send in December.

The Sephora website carries the Tom Ford Private Selection and L’Artisan lines, too! I’m hoping that Sephora doesn’t exclude any brands.
