For Spring 2015, Ciate brought together a cute and whimsical makeup collection that delighted and surprised me. One wouldn’t expect a brand that was focused on nail polish to create such a great range of color cosmetics but that is in fact exactly what Ciate did. Since that time they have created limited edition seasonal collections, collaborated collections, and now they are taking on the Holiday season with cute little gift set offerings!

Ciate Liquid Velvet Lip Slick are available in five shade selections and two of those permanent shades are available in this set which are Diva and Swoon. One of the shades, Pin Up, is excluive to this Holiday set.
This liquid lipstick formula is a non drying, long wearing, pigmented, and very comfortable to wear. The creamy, velvety consistency applies flawlessly on lips with rich color pay off. They aren’t moisturizing but the matte finish isn’t drying either and it wears for a good six hour period without cracking, migrating, fading, or feathering during that wear.

I happen to love the shade selections in this trio as you get a little bit of everything. Diva is a true matte red, Swoon is a is a pretty wearable beige, and Pin Up is a dusky raspberry.
I gave the Ciate Liquid Velvet Lip Slick a Muse Approval when I tried it several months ago and the Ciate Kiss Collective 3 Piece Liquid Velvet gets that same stamp of approval.
I really like this set. It’s a great way to try an excellently formulated liquid lipstick in a variety of shades without spending a ton of money!
